“I’ve never had a bad experience selling at Plato’s, so I’m shocked to see some of the negative reviews! I have sold my things at Plato’s several times throughout the years since I was a teenager and still needed my parent to come in with me to show ID so I could sell (I am 25 now for reference) and I have no complaints. I understand they need to make profit, so I never go in with unrealistic expectations..I always get a decent amount of money considering the things I am selling aren’t being worn by me. A lot of the times, they take most or all of my items as my items are name brand/trendy, and well taken care of. Any items they don’t take, they always give me a reasonable explanation! It’s way easier and less hassle than selling on depop, it clears up space in my closet, and it gives me some extra cash for things I will not miss…so it’s always a win win situation for me.”
“I visited the shop for the first time to look for a mother of the bride dress for my daughter’s wedding. I didn’t realize that I had arrived within a short time of the shop closing, but Joan and the ladies didn’t rush me or make me feel pressured.Joan helped me find beautiful dresses to try on, and I quickly found the perfect one for me! Everything that I looked at was very reasonably priced and Joan curates her selection so the styles are current.I highly recommend the shop. It’s fantastic to have such a good selection to choose from and you leave feeling good about the cost, instead of paying full retail price for a formal piece you may only wear once.I look forward to going back to shop for other everyday pieces that the shop offers as well.”
