The stylist behind the front desk was wonderful, as she really listened to what I wanted and what I did *not* want. She was patient and friendly. I left satisfied, with the haircut I wanted.

EDIT: I, unfortunately, have to take away my five star review. I came in for my regular fix-up after the DISASTER back in April (which cost me a job interview and multiple situations of hate and outright violence - I happen to live in an ultra conservative neighborhood with some VERY judgmental people). I sat down and communicated the regular but with slightly shorter tapering at the bottom to help with hair growth. What I ended up with was the back of my head almost completely shaved off. Then when asking someone else to fix it, she kept going on about blending when I said I didn't want it. Keep in mind these are the same people who have been fixing my last botched haircut for 3 months now. I selected them specifically because they worked with me before, but now they suddenly don't remember me.
No more Great Clips for me. I can do better with a hand mirror and shave (and I have).
OLD: I had one of the worst haircuts of my life at the Tillotson location. I came back to McGalliard needing help and they were incredibly kind and professional. They couldn't salvage my hair but they did what they could so I could at least leave the house. For context, I had a long pixie and was looking for a bang trim. The Tillotson location cut 5+ inches off of every side EXCEPT the front. I was left with blunt layers only an inch long just sticking out of my head. Also, it's my birthday and graduation next week, which is why I wanted a cute cut. The McGalliard stylists did their best to keep me calm as I panicked and bawled my eyes out. I was nearly sick but they definitely made the experience, well, still not bearable but not as gut-wrenching as it could have been. It at the very least made a difference and I will always be grateful for their patience and compassion. They even offered me a free follow-up cut to help reshape the hair as it grows back out even though they weren't the ones who messed up. They didn't have to do that but they did.
Life lesson: never go to Tillotson to try and save time. There's a reason they never have a wait. Just be patient and go to McGalliard. Your hair and heart will thank you.

No signs where it say that you can't use 50 or 100 dollars. And it 20 dollars just for a little trim

I usually go to Great Clips at the Tillotson Avenue location but, I was limited on time and on the opposite side of town. I've been at the location on McGalliard Road before so, I felt comfortable with my decision. I'd just had a thorough hair cut not long ago so, I'd just stopped in for the front/top of my hair to be shaped up and I was very pleased with the service provided by Jennifer. To make this visit even better was to see the familiar face of Michael, the manager from the Tillotson Avenue location. It's great news to hear that he's now transferred his position to this location.

Jasmine was outstanding. She clearly cared about her job and the person in her chair. She did a great job on the cut, paying attention to little details including cleaning up the back of the neck, which often gets skipped. Conversation flowed easily rather than being forced. If I could request to have her cut my hair every time, I would.
