Love the atmosphere of this salon, not so much the services that I received. Made an appointment to get my hair done before going on vacation. Showed an inspo pic and asked specifically if could be done, was told absolutely! Hair was totally bleached, which didn’t coincide with the pic, however the color was beautiful so I was fine with it. A week passed and my hair was showing serious signs of damage so I scheduled an appointment to get a dark blonde shadow root with low lights put through, hoping to salvage a bit of health to my hair. The warm color used had no effect on the copper color, I had to google to find out that you must use cool tones to cancel out red tones, it looks like a cosmetologist would be aware of this fact. Scheduled a third appointment to hopefully get it corrected and was met with a horrible attitude and an all over dark color with almost black roots! I think there must’ve been a serious language barrier because I again only asked for a 6-7 dark ash blonde shadow root with low lights pulled through NOT AN ALL OVER COLOR!! I had such high hopes for this salon but now I’m just left heartbroken.

I’ve been going to Clair for almost 4 years, as well as my daughter, and always leave the salon happy! Whether I’m making an impulse decision to go blonde or chop all my hair off, or just a wash and trim, Clair always hypes me up and makes me feel confident. She always asks me lots of questions to make sure things are exactly the way I want them, or gives me advice that something may look a little better a certain way with my hair being so thick, and she’s always right. She also give fabulous pedicures! I’d highly recommend Clair to anyone!

Christian is AAAAAHHHHMAZING. I have not had my head touched in several years, due to having brain surgery, and scars from where the Drs removed a tumor from my brain stem. I had a great deal of anxiety, because hardly anyone knows about my scars. Christian made the entire process so peaceful. I love my hair. It looks incredible, and I no longer feel like a 45-year-old. I know one of the owners personally. They are both great people. I sincerely cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thank you

I am appalled with the fact that they have been charging an elderly friend 2xs the amount of her haircut. she goes to pay & they tell her how much the cut is & ask how much she wants on the card. she says the amount of the cut they add that amount as the tip! Just went through her Financials and spent time asking her helper who has been seeing this but didn't know how to deal with it. ELDER ABUSE!

I have been going to John Jay & Co for years. It was hard to find a new Hair Stylist after years that could cut perfect hair and I found Mindy. She is the best. I will never go to anyone else again.
