I should've wrote this review months ago, but I suppose waiting also adds to my conviction. May of 2024 my first car finally quit and I was of course in need of a new vehicle. After doing some research as to reputable car sales in the area, I settled on K & R. A few days after my car quit, a friend and I went to K & R, checked out a mazda they had on the lot, and I was sold.
Looking back, I should have taken more time to think and look at the car, but I was also desperate to have a car. That day we filled out the paperwork and I took the mazda home. I personally got the warranty through the bank for the mazda as well.
Unfortunately, the month I owned the mazda was a rough one, with probably only being able to sort of drive it for two weeks, due to it being in and out of the shop for some stuttering I hadn't noticed on my test drive. The final time it was in the shop, the mechanic got back to me and told me the whole engine needed replaced due to the oil being practically sludge in the vehicle. The warranty wouldn't cover anything this big. I was absolutely devastated, because again I'd only had this vehicle for a brief time.
I'm sure with this bad experience, you're wondering why its a five star review. Well, throughout this ordeal, I'd been on contact with K & R, and they'd recommend mechanics I could check out and just in general were apologetic due to the car not being how it had seemed.
When I was told that the car needed a whole new engine, I contacted K & R, and asked if there was something we could do, because the issue with the car had not been my fault, it had been something from probably even before K & R had the vehicle (the mechanic had said it must've gone without an oil change for a very very long time). I asked if there was any possibility that I could transfer my loan from the mazda, to a different vehicle on their lot. They had said they would need some time to think and they would get back to me to see if there was anything they could do.
Not long after, we get into touch again, and she says something along the lines of "I thought about it, and thought about how if I was in your shoes, I would be upset too." I haven't forgotten that months later, because I feel most businesses struggle to show empathy. Anyways, she agreed that we could figure out a new car situation, and told me about a few cars on their lot that were of similar price to the mazda. A few days later, I came by to look at a buick she had mentioned, and I enjoyed the test drive but had concerns about the wheel bearings. She was more than willing to have her mechanic look at them and even got them replaced. A few days later, I drove off the lot with the buick, and the loan was applied to the buick. I got a refund for the mazda' warranty (a lot of good it was anyways), that was applied to my loan, and here we are now.
I've had little to no issues with the buick, and I still love it as much as when I first test drove it. It's taken me on several hour drives without a hitch, and it's probably the first car I can say has eased my car anxieties due to how reliable it is.
While the first car I got from K & R was a disaster, their response to the situation has left me eternally grateful. I just say if you go there to check out a vehicle, maybe bring your own mechanic to check out the car (like I should've done haha.) I have a lot of gratitude and appreciation for K & R for helping me get a vehicle that has served me thus far.

10/10 one of the best places to get a car! I called Kathy about the 2016 Malibu they had! The next day we got the car and drove off the lot ! Definitely will be back when my fiancé needs a car !! Communication is amazing ! Thank you Kathy !

I never expected the level of service I got from K&R Auto Sales. I reached out and told Kathy after looking for well over a month, and told her what I was looking for in a new vehicle. We are a family of six, so a third row was a must, as well as other needs and wants. She had nothing that met my needs, but that did not even slow her down. Within days, She found a few options for me, was extremely thorough in looking over vehicles, and found one that got all my needs and wants, greatly exceeded my expectations, and was in my price range! She was super honest with me and gave me a rundown of little imperfections (mainly trim issues) she found in the car, most of which a lot of salesmen would have brushed past, hoping I didn't notice. I wish I could give more than five stars! Thanks, K&R! We will undoubtedly be back next time we need a new vehicle!

I couldnt be more pleased with K & R Auto Sales for making a dream come true for me. Unfortunately the need to purchase a different vehicle came sooner than expected, yet Kathy and Rob did everything they could to make this happen for me and were in constant communication through the whole process. They were transparent and honest about the vehicle, provided the car fax with detailed information, and included receipts of the work they personally had done on the vehicle. They gave me such an excellent deal and I got the SUV for a monthly payment that I could afford. Kathy & Rob are the most down to earth friendly people. This place is not your typical dealership, there was no pressure at all. They treat you like family and truly care about you as a person. I highly recommend going to K&R Auto in Muncie for any vehicle purchase! I’m so thankful to have met them!

This place was next to amazing Kathy went above and beyond for me and did not stop until I had a vehicle in wanted and a price I could afford and guys listen I do not have the perfect credit I just had a down payment but yall this place when everyone could not help me Kathy did I am so thankful for her I have a beautiful Chevy Cruze. Their office cat is precious and staff is more then nice 👍 recommend if I had an option to give 20 stars I would just great place with great cars and prices beats anyone !

So easy to work with. Regular people like us, no pressure, nice selection of cars & trucks. I drove 3hrs to look at a car & bought it. They even delivered it for a reasonable fee. (No more then what it would have cost me to rent a car one way) I highly reccommend them. (I would know, I sold cars for 15yrs.)

Loved working with Kathy at K&R! Found them on Facebook then went to their website to get more details about what they had in inventory. The vehicle I initially was interested in didn't check all the boxes I was looking for so told Kathy what type of parameters I was looking for and she was very understanding and pointed me to a few options in their lot. Being 2 hours away, I didn't want to make an unnecessary trip over to Muncie but Kathy was very honest and sincere in providing me with information. The 3 cars I looked at were very clean and I feel I got a great deal on what we decided to purchase. She provided the CarFax and also the told me things their mechanic found and fixed before putting it up for sale. Very humbling to go thru this experience and not feel like you have to haggle for prices or be pressured into any decisions. Definite 5 star business!

I had no clue about cars and they helped me with every step. They even helped me out with a car for my driver's exam. They have also been extremely helpful with any issues and questions I have had since buying the vehicle. Could not recommend them enough!

We just bought a car from K&R, and it was our best car buying experience so far. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and very forthcoming and honest about the condition of the cars they showed us. They even suggested us a different, less expensive car than we came to look at because they thought it would fit our needs better, even though it meant less money in their pockets. And they gave us a fantastic deal on it, especially considering all the work they had done on it to get it to the spectacular condition it's in. And they were so patient with our time constraints throughout the buying process, even staying well after close one evening to make sure we could come in after we got off work to finish the purchase. We can't recommend these folks highly enough
