This place is just amazing for little kids who want some play. I have memories coming here once as a kid, and i was glad to see my brothers having fun.I went here with my mom and brothers and saw all the cute little kid attractions. Great museum for kids and would highly reccomended for the little ones. I also like the little parrot in the gift shop, he was cute too.

Despite its size the museum provides kids ample activities and interesting interactive displays. The staff are incredibly welcoming and work to ensure that not only the visitors have a great experience through engagement activities but also keep the place neat and clean. If you do a little bit of "research" before hand you can often find coupons for $1 off admission (up to 4 guests) and a coloring contest that gets you a free sand art container ($2 value). Highly recommend a visit!

I hadn't been in over 10 years so I couldn't remember what to expect. My niece and nephew (who'd never been before) enjoyed themselves. My sister and I were disappointed tho...things/areas were pretty dirty, torn/damaged, and seemed different things were closed/blocked off. After saying all that if you're in Muncie and have children 5 or younger, it's a cheap place to visit when the weather isn't great. The gift shop has decently priced options.

Went to the Museum with my daughter and we had a wonderful time. The Elf Experience was a lot of fun and she enjoyed the regular museum as well. Even got a pic with Santa. Special shout-out to Mitchell, who went the extra mile for us and made the day a little more special.

Took our 1 year old son, and I was worried he might not be able to interact or enjoy much - I assumed it would be designed for older kids. But he had an absolute blast! (Really loved playing in the semi-truck like a tiny deranged driver.) There's tons to see and do and explore even for small babies. We are definitely going back at some point.

Upstairs is unavailable; five new exhibits are on the way per signage around the museum. No costumes are available at dress-up stations, "ask staff" signs everywhere, crayons, drumsticks, and paper. Inconvenient to continuously walk back and forth. My 6 yr old didn't want to keep walking back to the front with quite a few different animals to look at. The anthill has been cut in half. Nothing in the outdoor area but bees, both alive and dead, around the benches. Not nearly as interactive as it once was. Individual rooms offered little interaction without going to find a staff member.Hopefully, by winter, when the 1st new exhibit will be available, it'll be more exciting and interactive for kids. Highlight of the visit was seeing the baby turtles in the gift shop.

Wonderful place for the kids! Half the time, if they'll listen to you, you can just let them go and have a blast. Just stay close so they don't get into the restricted areas. Plenty for them to do. Best part about it? You ain't gotta worry about things being outta place, or putting something back in its place. Other kids come right behind and take over.

We came here last year before my granddaughter could walk, and things were rather dirty and worn out but we tried to have a good time. Here it is a year later and I decided to take my granddaughter back now that she can walk. We had a busload of kids right before us and they were just leaving when we got there. The entire place was in disarray and so many things are worn out, dirty, broken, and the employees were just sitting in the office. Not trying to pick up after the chaos of the school bus. My granddaughter didn't know the difference and still had a good time, but I feel like we both need to go take a bath now. Someone should have at least been walking around with a cleaning bottle cleaning up the toys because clearly people are going to put stuff in their mouth. Even the little cracker boxes and the Pop-Tart boxes in the kitchen are all torn apart. How hard would it be to get a new empty Pop-Tart box? Or empty cracker box. Maybe it's a question of funding and it doesn't have much to go on? But things need to be spruced up, painted, and thoroughly cleaned.

I remember coming here when I was just a little boy on field trips, now I'm bringing my son. It has a bit of nostalgia, but it's also just a great way to spend a day.The price of admission is beyond reasonable for hours of fun and learning. The museum is also in the works of updating and expanding it's exhibits. Please bring your children here or consider donating to keep this wonderful place alive for decades to come!!

The museum was great. My children, ages 3 and 6 had a fantastic time and are eager to return. We were there for a few hours and they did not want to leave. Like many museums and attractions there are broken exhibits and items in need of repair, but with the price of admission, what is available for viewing and experiencing is more than sufficient. We completed the coloring activity listed on the webpage and the museum honored my children's request to receive their free sand-art, which they were able to make themselves! At the end of the day my children had a fantastic time and we look forward to visiting again. Thank you muncie children's museum!

I'm not sure where to begin. I loved this children's museum growing up and this was my first time returning with my children. The dust in the Marsh area has probably been accumulating since I was there over 2 decades ago. There were plenty of unworking parts in each "exhibit", lots of lights that were out, and everything was dirty. Due to the size of the location and the lack of attendance this left an overall feeling of uneasiness. The absence of music and the hum of what little lights were on really infasized that uneasy feeling. The poorly lit museum set the stage for the rest of the vist with items being broken down, extremely outdated, and highly dirty. There were so many areas where there was a step down that my 1.5 year old came incredibly close to falling the whole time we were there. I appreciate the caution tape but toddlers don't understand. There is also a step in the "baby safe" area that lacks the caution tape for older kids that happen to be in the area.Due to the lack luster experience inside we decided to head out back and we were greeted with a sign on the door warning about a wasp nest in the play area out back. The museum has been in this location since 1996 and I understand renovations are coming. I can't, however, seem to fathom how they are going earn the revenue for the renovations without caring for the current state of the museum. Please please please for the sake of the health and safety of future children coming to this museum please dust the place, mop the floors, sanitize the high touch areas, and turn on some lights and music!!! Soap and a little elbow grease and paint would really change the vibe of this place until the renovations come because right now there's no life in this place.

Fun place for kids! Different things for kids to dress up and play with, some small animals, and few things kids can climb on. Plus the staff couldn't be more friendly!
