The staff there are very helpful. I needed a prescription filled urgently and my insurance did not cover it. The other pharmacies would not even order it even when I said I would pay due to it being expensive. Community Surgery Center Pharmacy ordered it, had it next day and found a coupon that took the price from $450 to $40. Great staff. Thank you very much.

This place is amazing!!!!!!!!! More than just a pharmacy. Keri is beyond kind and helpful. One of the best people I have ever spoken to! She worked with my insurance to get my medication that was $6,000 down to $100 and she also made my day with her kindness! I’ll be using this pharmacy forever!

Absolute trash. I am an immunocompromised covid negative patient in a room next to a room with a covid positive patient! They co hort and co mingle their covid positive patients!!! I was talking to another patient who told me she had to get tested because of an exposure to her previous roommate. I got up an left. Management did nothing. Acted like this is normal and covid isn't spread through the air which we are both breathing. Stay away!! They are probably giving us covid for the $$$

I have dealt with chronic back pain for many years and have never been happy with the national pharmacies. My doctor suggested Community Surgical Center Pharmacy at Community Hospital in Munster. Ever since, I started using this pharmacy I have been amazed by the professional staff. It is great to deal with people who treat you with care and respect, remember your name and see it as their calling to fill your prescriptions. Additionally, this is a local business in the community so at your next doctor visit consider having your prescription sent to Community Surgery Center Pharmacy. I suspect like me you will never regret it.

I would have given it 5 stars plus. But my last experience was so creul, insulting, by a female pharmacist. I never met nor talked to. All others were the kindest people especially, I think her name was kerrie, was amazing. She got our insurance to approve a near 5 thousand dollar prescription from insurance approved for my husband called Samsca. She deserves the highest praise for helping keep my husband alive. Everyone else has been kind and curtious. Except the last visit, a hateful, sarcastic female answered and just asking a question she yelled and said horrible things and made an horribile statement even saying I should not even be taking that medication I should be in therapy not knowing my conditions I only wanted to hang up and between her yells and carrying on I said thank you for your time She yelled yes! Because I'm busy! Maybe someone else before me gave her a hard time, but never treat customers /patients like that. I was kind and respectful to her I'll never go back. Horribile person to treat someone like that for no reason.

The University of Chicago Medicine purchased Ingalls Health System in 2016. It is located in a predominately African American Community in Harvey, Illinois. The University of Chicago did not bring the facility or the employees etiquette up to the same standards as The University of Chicago in Hyde Park. Chicago (Hyde Park Campus) offers curb appeal as it is Multicultural. They should be ashamed of themselves not bringing that facility to the same curb appeal. I went to visit a patient today and I was very disappointed. Not to mention security seemed scarce so I wanted to leave while it was daylight. I worked at a HealthCare System in Florida that owed several hospitals/facilities. They all had curb appeal and the standards were the same at all facilities. When I walked into Ingalls today, the Associates in the main entrance were Excellent, the Gift shop associate was friendly and professional. Once I got to the 4th Floor, I was in the land of "HELP LESS" the only Associate that made eye contact with me was the nice warm professional associate Serving meals. The other Associates "HELPED LESS". I asked one associate I think was a nurse a question and she actually got smart with me. Then I clarified the question to an elementary level then "Nurse HELP LESS" answered the question. I walked past the nursing station lost hoping to find my way out but two employees engaged in a personal conversation "HELPED LESS" and did not bat an eye as I proceeded unknowingly to go the wrong direction. Again I walked pass the Nursing Station still no there was offer to assist me. EmIn 2016 when The University of Chicago purchased Ingalls Hospital they promised to "Offer Unparalleled Care to Chicago's South Side and Southland" it looks like they treat this location like a stepchild in every sense of the word. I had to give it one star there are not enough words cannot describe my experience

Had an outpatient procedure done there today and it was the best experience I've ever had @ a hospital. The nurses and surgical team were amazing. I cant thank you enough.

I had to have an endoscopy and testing done for current stomach issues. The entire team was absolutely amazing. Not one person left me disappointed. I was well taken care of, as was my driver. Even the transport staff treated me like royalty. I had Dr. Appannagari with Dr. Cheng’s practice and he was phenomenal. Did not treat me like a patient on his checklist like some doctors do. He impressed my driver so much, she will also be switching to their practice. I appreciated their bedside manner and the call checking on me the following day. Great service community! An improvement from experiences 5-10 years ago, for sure!

UChicago/Ingalls rolled out a new online payment service that works more efficiently than the previous versions. It also has, I believe, an option where you can request an itemized bill. Hopefully this online version will operate well and reduce the need for telephone calls to their billing department unless necessary.

The problem with Ingalls ER is the staff they appear not to care at all. They don't practice standards of care. You actually could be having a stroke or heart attack in the waiting room the triage nurse could care less. This happened on two occasions my mother in law was having a hemorrhagic stroke and was taken back. Then on April 2 I brought my husband in by wheelchair the triage nurse ignored him though there was no one in the Er. The ER tech brought him back he was white as a ghost excessive sweating cold and clammy. I would not recommend you take your pet dog there. Obviously Ingalls does not care to improve the quality of nurses in ER.

The University of Chicago Medicine claims to be, "At the Forefront of World Class Health Care", yet from my observations of UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Inpatient Behavioral Health Center, the more accurate claim would be, " At the Tail End of World Class Health Care." The University of Chicago Medicine needs to examine why it runs a facility so deficient in the quality of the care. Since the disparity between the Hyde Park campus and the Harvey campus are so stark, it raises issues of possible discrimination based on class and race. I strongly urge the University of Chicago Medicine to do a complete and thorough assessment of the Ingalls Memorial Inpatient Behavioral Health Center and make the necessary changes to bring this facility from the tail end to the forefront of medicine.

I have been a patient with Ingalls many years with very little problems when it comes to finding doctors in my network for BCBSIL. I have spent days on end speaking with different departments, md, Care Connection, and who ever else to try an find a Mental Health doctor for a family member that has Illini Care. I have been told that I have to search each and every doctor on the website and contact them individually, or one by one and ask if they accept Illini Care. This insurance does not show on there website. This is very time consuming and not productive

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians at this pharmacy are extremely helpful with making sure patients receive the medications they need, that it is covered by their insurance, and ordered in a timely manner. Pharmacist Rich and pharmacy technician Kari are amazing and really do what is best for the patients!

From the minute I got here I was treated with nothing but kindness compassion and nurturing. I stepped in a pothole a couple weeks ago went to urgent care it was beginning to feel better then all of a sudden it was worse than ever! First I checked in at Christ 5+ hour wait called little company 4 hours so I gave this place a shot and glad I did! They got me in with a nurse less than 10 minutes after checking in. Immediately nurse felt my knee redness and warm to touch and immediately called the dr in, dr had same opinion of septic arthritis. Throughout my 3 hour ordeal of xrays blood work up and needles Stu k in my arm and knee I was treated with courtesy respect and it actually seemed like the doctor and nurses cared unlike Christ Palos and little company where they burn and turn their triage center, it's not in the best of areas but the service and professionialism far outweighs anything by far
