Besides one of their branches depositing my check into someone else's acount today, this is my experience also with the home mortgage department of People's bank. My secretary pays all my bills for my 3 companies and my mortgage . I have 2 commercial and my home mortgage through People's bank. Our payments are always made on time. I received a 30 day late on my credit report for my home mortgage even though my payment was received within the grace period. My secretary paid the amount that was asked for through their online banking. They said it was the wrong amount. She paid what was asked for. My commercial mortgage banker said that was their fault. The bank should have changed the amount due. I still am fighting to have that 30 day late on my credit report taken off.

I'm very pleased with the People's Bank. Melanie from Crown Point was very helpful to rectify the issue. I say she went above and beyond and bought closure. I do appreciate all her help, and I'm very grateful....

Extremely poor customer service inside this location. I waited fifteen minutes in line for a simple transaction while the teller attempted to help a gentleman who had a problem with his statement. I am not sure why this issue was not taken to someone at the front desk. There were no customers in the drive through line yet the individual in that area would not come over to help me. She proceeded to help another customer that she knew who came into the bank while continuing to make me wait. The worst part was that the gentleman that was in front of me apologized twice to me for taking so much time while the teller said nothing to me when completing my transaction. It is obvious that customer service is not of importance to this location.

Closing my account with them finally after 10 years. I do not remember one single good experience with them. Countless bad experiences, though. I am not a high value customer by any means, but is it wrong for me to expect fair treatment? I don't think so. Very happy to be permanently ending my business with this bank. I generally do not leave bad reviews but I am just so frustrated with this establishment. Bank elsewhere.

It is impressive how slow the drive thru service is regardless of time of day. Genuinely impressive for the small army of employees they have that frolic around in the teller windows. Staff is friendly and courteous but a slight sense of urgency would do a world of wonders.

Do not open accounts with any peoples banks in NWI. I thought Centier was incompetent. Peoples have literally gone out of their way to beat out Centier as the most incompetent banking group in Indiana. Every single day I have a new issue. I am a small business owner and the biggest mistake I have made was going to peoples.

Used to love this bank. After recent years lost some money here and there from unexpected fees to errors in deposits. Doesn’t seem like they have any care for their customers anymore. It just doesn’t feel like the same bank as before.

If you leave your general area and make a purchase they lock your card. Better hope it doesn’t happen on a Friday not or weekend because you won’t be getting it unlocked until Monday. Same goes with holidays

This by far the worst bank and people to deal with. If you need to do anything with them they are the most unprofessional people to work with. They are only on their schedule and no one else. I would recommend for you not to waste your time with them and to go anywhere else possible

I've been needing some really complicated approvals and authorizations from both retail and wealth management recently while I work on funding my education and moving overseas. Peoples Bank has been a welcome relief from dealing with massive government entities and big corporations throughout this process. Navigating things like this can be especially difficult and stressful, so I can appreciate how friendly Peoples Bank has been to my situation.I'm never put on hold. They always listen to my concerns and make sure they're giving me exactly what I need. I'm able to talk to the same officers and staff every time I call, and they know exactly what my situation is. It's so important to know other people are taking an interest in my situation and keeping track of what needs to be done. They follow up with me promptly, and things are taken care of in such a timely manner. I'm often waiting hours, days, weeks for follow up with other services, and I speak to a different agent every time. Peoples Bank has been consistent, competent, and caring every step of the way.I have been a customer at big banks. Banking is never easy, I get that. It can be complicated and stressful. But other banks gave me the feeling I'm on my own. If I hit a wall, I was sent away, told to come back when I figure it out. It was impossible to call branches directly and speak with the officers who handled my case, so I had to call 800 numbers or try to work it out online. At Peoples Bank I have relationships with people I trust.

Just paid off my 20 yr mortgage w peoples bank.I had a problem early on in my loan and that seemed to put a red check next to my name to call me or send unjustified harrassing letters.I was in a car accident in oct 19, i missed Novembers payment because I had a bad concussion and couldn't figure stuff out. I decided to take the ding on my credit, and pay the 2 months by the end of Dec.At Christmas I received a letter and a pamphlet saying they could foreclose at any time. I had a massive anxiety attack. This bank truly doesnt care about you. During the height of the pandemic April/May I REPEATEDLY called Don and his boss. I left messages, &with the receptionist also, And to this day I have never received a call. I was told there was only one person working and to leave a message.But when I owe money they call me left and right. (This did not occur that often. Maybe every few yrs i was late a week or 2.) Don always has time to leave a message inquiring when I'm going to pay. They do not work w you if you have issues. Their attitude has always been, "just pay what you owe. No help here."Last month I left an incredibly rude message for Don and told him to never call me again. Only thing he has ever done on my benefit. I have no regrets.They wouldn't return my calls during the pandemic...They charged me a fee to close my loan. They wanted every drop.
