By far the worst post office EVER!! They keep the door closed all the time and when you ring the door bell, they ignore you. I rang it again, nothing. I knocked because this whole time I can hear them gossiping about things on the other side of the door, still they don't answer the door. The people who work in this office should all be fired. I'm sure others would love to have a job that pays and has a pension. And they would do their jobs way better!!

The clerk (wearing an earpod in one ear while at work for easy reference) was nasty, incompetent, rude, lazy, clueless and unhelpful. She wasn’t quite sure what a prepaid envelope was but expected ME to know what it is. I came back to her after falling in line again with my prepaid envelope which she did not helpfully tell me how to go about it after POLITELY asking for help because I wasn’t sure myself. She told me I was holding up the line because I didn’t put in the prepaid envelope in the main package I was gonna include it in. But of course, because I have to pay for it first that’s why I didn’t. And I was holding up a line of TWO people. I guess if you’re not happy with your job and you are paid too little, please do not bring your angst to work. It puts all the USPS Munster customers off.

I always have an issue when I go to this location. There is always something wrong with how I package my mail or something I need that wasn’t clear, and other locations have never made things this much of an issue. I will not be going back to this location

I should have read the passport reviews prior to making an appt. I got a call today about 2 hrs before my appt that said they are cancelling me due to “low staffing”. The person quickly told me i would have to go to the Hammond location on Sohl. Mind you they have worst reviews than this one and i was tying to avoid going there smh. Just thankful they gave me a heads up to not waste my time judging by the reviews on passports

I would give zero star if I could. Post office called to cancel my child’s passport appointment due to low staffing. Offered an earlier time at a different location, mind you it was one hour from the time she called. As both parents are required to be present for a child passport, I asked if I could call my husband to see if that would work for him to leave work earlier. She rudely cut me off saying she had other customers and she was the only one there and then hung up on me! I am a customer too! So now after waiting 2 weeks for an appointment, I have to go back online to reschedule. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this post office again. Absolutely unprofessional!

So so so sooooo bad. The ladies at the front desk are rude and no help. They speak with an attitude
. Told me to do something then gave me an attitude « you don’t got to do all that » they are so unpleasant, bad energy and lazy. Hate it here. Never coming back to these lazy, rude, ladies. So bad.

Update: Went to library in Illinois and they are friendly and professional. Original: Horrible service for kid's passport application, woman on Wednesday played tricks for their customers instead trying to provide service and she even required the copy of parents' passport cover as verification of identity (not the information page), which is ridiculous. Everyone should read the review for such service before making appointment for this location.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I just walked in and the cashier automatically said, “uh uh I don’t like that” and I said excuse me?? She says you can’t send package with duct tape I won’t let it go through.” Unfortunately I’ve been sending packages with duct tape for as long as I can remember. She said I have the option to buy packing tape for $14 or leave. So I left! This was 01/12/2025 around 2pm! Hope that helps. That is not how you greet a customer or a person! The usps in SVHEREVILLE gladly helped! 🖤👏

They make their own hours on Saturday if you’re trying to go on a Saturday I suggest you go to a different town
