I was a kid we were always here. The art and the haunting. The yummy food and the festivities. Amazing. Anyway I'm leaving this review because I was 8 and we went to get palm readings done ot was 1999 or 1998. Anyway. The reader said I was going to have 2 kids. I said no I was having one and that's it. We argued for a few minutes. Well here we are 27 years later....she was right...there is a second on the way. She was in the house in town on a hill in the town. But last few buildings. Next to a rock shop back then. Sooo yeah...they have nothing but the really ones. Thanks. And sorry for the arguing...if you see this.

Love the drive going to this covered bridge. Make sure you bring a car that has a fair bit of clearance since the potholes have been known to be deep here. Amazing during the fall when the leaves are bright red.

Indiana has lots and lots of covered bridges. I've been to a few of them. Bean Blossom is one of the loveliest. With only a 9 foot clearance, it was too small for the "Free Candy!" van that needs 10 feet but that's okay. I was still able to walk it and admire this fabulous construction.Built in 1880 and with a span of 101 feet, it carries this narrow lane across Bean Blossom Creek. Of course, State Road 135 is nearby if you're also not able to drive across. The road down the valley to the bridge is narrow and after a short while, it is gravel only. A short wider area near the bottom for you to pull over and park. But much of the road is one lane so drive with care.

One of Indiana’s many historic covered bridges which can be traversed by car. Nestled in the woods on a curvy back road. Perfection.

Nice bridge. Fortunately we missed the turn for the road from the south. Our Honda Civic would not have made it on that road! We came in from the north, and parked on the south side of the road. When we went to leave, it was quite crowded, with lots of cars trying to get through and continue or turn around. We decided to just keep heading south to get out of everybody's way, but very quickly came upon a spot where we probably would have gotten stuck if we'd attempted it. Turning around on the south side of the bridge is challenging. It's a narrow road with a steep drop on one side and a gated driveway on the other. If you're not confident navigating tight spaces, be careful here!

Very cool old covered bridge. Due to weight restrictions no Harley or BMW motorcycles are allowed over it.

I recommend approaching from the north, because the road from the south is unpassable unless you're in a vehicle with high clearance and good off road tires. That said, although the road approaching is very narrow, it is paven and well maintained. If you cross the bridge (3 ton limit) there is room to turn around to go back the same way you came. Whether it's worth the effort depends on your interest in historical covered bridges.

Yeah you definitely do NOT need 4 wheel drive abs big tires to come to the bridge from either direction. City folks sure are silly?
