I don’t usually leave reviews to places, but when it comes to banking I think it’s important to be well informed. I had some very basic question about account procedures and none of the answers I got were very definitive. In fact some of the questions I asked I knew the answer to and the response they gave me was the most complicated and inconvenient way to go about things. I ended up just ending the conversation since I wasn’t getting any helpful information. I’ve had good service here before, but recently my trust in information and service has been shaken.

Pretty average bank in that they hold my money. However, I've found that most of the time I'm here, the tellers are short and unpleasant and sometimes actually pretty rude. It's as if they feel majorly inconvenienced by my business. Also, their mobile deposit app frequently rejects my checks, even though I am below the limit and doing everything right. The Morgantown branch has much friendlier employees that are happy to help.

Opened a new account and CD this year as a new customer to Merchants Bank....moving to Nashville soon... friendly staff, manager was helpful and patient with all my questions about rates.. etc....very informative...great customer service! Glad I chose Merchants Nashville.
