So different than previous visits. They were known for sauces, seasoning, knives, swords, and eclectic items. These items are nearly non-existent. It is now mostly a jewelry shop.

This is an eclectic mix of items gathered into an open space with lots of room to move around. If you want canned salsas, hot sauces, and other food items, they've got them near the front of the store. Maybe you want to look at necklaces and jewelry. They have them in the middle. And maybe you want something a little more out there like sling shots, knives, and hatchets. They've got those too. Throw in some comic book inspired items and you get the feel for the kind of things they carry here. The man who was working the register was friendly and we chatted while I browsed around the store. I ended up finding some wooden shot glasses that were tied to Brown County with their emblazoned stamps. I think to keep up with a lot of the other places in town that sell food products, some samples would go a long way towards a sale. It looked like they were set up for offering samples, but nothing was set out during my visit (maybe only on weekends?) I personally am hesitant about buying something offering unique flavor tastes without a sample to try. The shop is otherwise pretty unique in what it carries and is worth stopping by if you are looking for something different. Review #3246

If the store hours say they're open that does not necessarily mean they are open. It was 34 degrees, on a Wednesday, at noon. The store sigh read open, as did the store hours online. I stood there for 10 minuets knocking of the door, no answer.

Hot sauce emporium! This is a wonderful place to shop for hot sauce, locally produced foods and spice rubs. Like the try before you buy concept on many items. Friendly proprietor. Try the expresso rub and BLT dip mix.

If you love hot sauce or jams, this is the place to come. My husband and I have been coming to J Bob's for hot sauce for about a decade, and the selection does not disappoint. It has the biggest and best selection of hot sauce I've seen anywhere in Indiana. Some are also available to taste test The owner is knowledgeable about the hot sauces and jams as well, and will happily make a suggestion if you're not sure what to get. Definitely worth a stop!
