Yesterday when I went to the post office to drop off a click and ship box that was already paid for and ready to ship, the area was blocked off and two women were outside sweeping up a mess caused by someone hitting the accelerator instead of the brake several hours earlier. Instead of parking out in the street in the way of traffic, I pulled into the left side of the post office that was partially blocked by cones, to ask if I could possibly drop off my click and ship box. As soon as I started to get out of my car, one of the women began yelling at me that I ran over her cones. I assured her that I didn't touch any cone. When I asked if I could drop off the box that was paid for online and marked to be shipped on that date, she told me to go to another post office which would mean Bloomington or Columbus and it was almost closing time. Both women were rude and condescending. I understand them being upset at this unfortunate incident but is this how you treat people. Former postmasters Bob Adair and Bruce Gould would NEVER have been so unkind and rude or allowed their employees to act in such a manner.

Was traveling west between Nashville and Bloomington today. Was doing 55mph in a 55mph zone. Rural carrier on side of road with hazards on. He pulls out ACROSS traffic to the other side. I hit breaks, almost loose control, just short of rolling our vehicle. He does not stop. We turned around to confront him where he was stopped. Blocking top of hill, he still finds a way to get around us. I'm yelling, and he will not even acknowledge us. I yell to him the fact that he doesn't even have a license plate. I'm by his window and ask name or anything to identify him. Again, he will not look at us. We were unsure which office he would be out of, so we drove to Bloomington East office. They were no help but also indicated that their rural carriers don't use their private vehicles. We attempted to contact Nashville office via phone, but based on other reviews, they will never answer the phone. Filed a report with Brown County Sheriff's Office. We were saved today. Had there been other vehicles behind us, there would have been multiple fatalities. NOW, putting this publicly, and knowing that it is likely Nashville Indiana Postmaster will see this, will make them culpable, when he causes a fatality.

Today, my package was delivered 100 yards from my house in the middle of a thunderstorm. Needless to say the package was soaked. This is unacceptable for any delivery.

The people I’ve interacted with who work the desk are extremely rude. They never deliver packages so I always have to pick them up, and they act like it’s crazy inconvenience every time. I’ve heard the guy who works there is really nice but I’ve never seen him.

They leave boxes in street and say they attempted to deliver but do not! Also, they do not answer their phone during business hours.

Sometimes reliable and frequently not. Delays, items returned to sender, carrier damaged mail, wet or dented/folded. Subs do not know routes.

Never any stock on the floor that you need without asking, and you have to wait for a person to stop socializing to get what you need, then out of line then back in.

As a child of two parents who both retired from the USPS, it is not easy for me to write a bad review. I remember days - especially during the holidays - when my parents would be out until well after 8:00 PM making sure mail and packages were delivered. I even ran my issues by them thinking that maybe I was being too critical about my mail person. They agreed that I was not. There is no reason to explain why I am constantly getting other people's mail, having to track down my mail and/or packages, and why no packages can be left at my house. I work in a different city. It can sometimes take weeks before I am able to get to the Nashville Post Office on a Saturday (before noon).

I legit live 5 minutes out of town and they hardly ever actually deliver my packages. Most of the time they hold them there and when I go to get them they can’t freaking find them. I went today to get 2 packages and guess what. They are lost. I waited half an hour then they asked if I would wait another 15 minutes. Why can’t they just not lose my mail.

Can not seem to get my mail delivered to the right address even after filing several changes of address. Postmaster was very rude over the phone when I called with questions, and can’t seem to get any help! Worst post office ever!!

I needed to ship something priority mail. I was provided with stuff to fill out. I promptly did but then was told I needed to wait 10+ min because the person who can send it (which was the original person I talked to 2 minutes earlier) was on break...

Latest update - May 2022 - it's been a year since my last review and I have to say 'good job' to them as of late. No wrong packages or misplaced. I still dont understand why that cannot look up my delivery by the USPS tracking number...but hey, given my past history with this location I will settle with just getting the packages associated with the pink slips I bring. There have been some very friendly and professional individuals manning the desk when I have gone in lately. My husband has also had better results as well. Thank you, thank you for the changes!Update from May 2021 — so the saga continues. :( Today, my husband took the pink slip from our mailbox to the post office. The pink slip clearly stated the box was from BOUNTY (yes, the paper towels...) but the box they gave my husband was a small box that definitely had electronics inside. In addition it wasn’t our address or my name. Ugh. When my husband took it back in he told them that they had given him the wrong package. The clerk took it and told him to have a nice day...he told her he’d like to have the package he came for...and by the way it should say ‘Bounty’ on it. And...lookie there, they found it. Too bad I can’t give a negative star. Don’t bother trying to call the local number either...10 minutes of back to back attempts and no answer.Disorganized and rude…I have lived in Brown County all my life and I can say that this post office just continues to go downhill. My mailbox is located on the main highway and my home is located far enough from the highway that they will not deliver oversize packages to my home. Instead I received a notification slip that the package is at the post office. That’s fine, that doesn’t bother me at all. What does bother me is traveling to Nashville to get my package, standing in line and then waiting while they attempt to find my package...all the while hearing the entire conversation from the back between the staff About How the package isn’t where it supposed to be. Then they come back out, ask me if it’s possible that somebody else could’ve picked up the package, I’ll tell them know and they go back to look again. They return a final time no package in hand give me the slip and say maybe the driver took it back out on the route with them. WHY? Why would the driver take it back out on the route if they couldn’t put it in my mailbox and they won’t bring it to my home?Other issues I have, I receive texts From US PS regarding my packages’ status. When I am away from home and I receive a text that says the package has been left at the local postal office because it couldn’t be delivered to my mailbox, I would normally swing by the post office to check on it. I have since stopped doing that because the staff tells me that if I don’t have a slip in my mailbox to show them they don’t have a package. I try to show them the tracking number from my text they tell me they can’t use that tracking number. Again, WHY? This is a USPS system generated tracking Number. Aren’t You a USPS facility using a USPS system? Isn’t it one USPS system?I can’t say, that I have an issue with my mail delivery person...I guess I don’t...unless all of this is somehow their fault. But I can say I hate having to go in to Nashville to that post office because it’s almost always slow, frustrating and the staff seems bothered by your requests. I would gladly pay extra to have things delivered by FedEx or UPS.
