They had some of the things I needed but the store was very much in disarray. The cashier was holding her infant as she checked us out. We heard that almost everyone had called in. Some of the shelves were too high to reach.

The staff was very friendly and greeted me personably. I was enjoying my shopping experience and it could have been a five star trip. But then I needed to use the restroom. Two signs were posted "No merchandise in restrooms" FAIR!! And "Sorry, no public restroom. Have a nice day" NOT FAIR! I won't shop on ANY store as much as I love it that won't allow me to use the restroom when I need to. I think this is a newer decision made by management and I won't be back because of it.

Only one cashier up front with 15 people in line. The other one was in the back of the store talking. I don't think she could see how crowded it was. She eventually came to the rescue

I usually go to this location just for snacks and cleaning supplies. But the second time this week...I bought snack crackers and they were expired...BY NEARLY a month!!! I ate an entire cracker and was starting on my 2nd when I read the expiration on the package. Expiration : October 29, 2022. I called and the lady that answered, presumably the manager on shift, told me that I should have read the box before purchase and hung up on me. I simply just wanted to trade them for an "in date" product. However, Since the manager is so unprofessional and showed zero concern for my health and safety as a consumer; I decided to make others aware. Avoid this location and/or make sure you are diligently checking expiration BEFORE purchase. Especially since they simply do not care to right a wrong...That's just BAD buisness!!

Selection is pretty good. Staff are usually unhappy and there is almost always a line. Can't beat the price.Update - quality has gone way down and they can no longer call themselves a dollar store. As usual, no one even said hello. I won't be returning.

I've been to this location one time, and that was enough for me, but today took the cake. My husband went in inquiring about an empty box, after seeing the stock person break a bunch of boxes down as he shopped for a few items. After asking about the box, and thoroughly explaining to the stocker that the broken down empty box was needed as a temporary nesting box for a RESCUE mama cat who will soon be having her kittens, my husband was immediately shut down. This miserable stock person said she needed THAT box to put her other broken down boxes in. Mind you, my husband already put all her broken down boxes in another box just like the broken down box he asked about, very neatly, so it could be toted to the garbage. Easy peasy! That wasn't good enough for her. She wanted the box we needed, that she really didn't need. It's as if she enjoyed being mean. She didn't care about what he was saying, and I have to wonder if she hates animals, the idea of rescuing animals, or decent humans who are trying to help a helpless living creature. I'm quietly glad this happened, because it led my husband to Smokey's Smoke Shop, a compassionate and thoughtful business nearby, who, after he explained the same thing as he did to the miserable person at the Dollar Tree, two cashiers were THRILLED to help him get the box he needed. Thank you Dollar Tree on State Street for showing your true colors. I've always believed the team you hire represents YOU as a store. Now, my husband and I know who to give our business to, and who NOT to.
