I just placed a delivery order for the first time. I have ordered from Wal-Mart and Sam's Club many times, just because they were closer. The pricing was similar, but I did get a great deal on Campbell's Chunky, only $1.66 per and got a few orders cheaper than anywhere else if I bought 2 instead of one. One item was out of stock, it was labeled "Low in stock" at the time of purchase. I got a text about a possible replacement. I received a picture of it, something the competitors don't do. The process was quicker and more seamless as well. Wal-Mart offers free delivery for $99 a year. However, my first time purchase with Meijer included a $10 off promo code. Most importantly, my $70 order got 8000 points, which I can use for free delivery on my next order. So as long as I place big enough orders, I get free delivery without paying for a membership. As far as Sam's Club, I have a $110 yearly membership that does NOT include free delivery. But you can save big time if you have a 2nd freezer. All in all, Meijer provided the best service and I look forward to ordering from them again.

Huge clean spot to find deals and interesting mid western snacks, coffee etc not found at other grocery spots. Nice produce, good cheese options and then there is the home items and shopping for clothes, weird to be clothes shopping when on a bubbly water run, but nice quality. Huge drink bottle section with big brands like Tervis and Stanley. We never get out for under 200.00 , but happy with what we get every time.

Wish could give negative star's. Employee's are rude and lazy. Don't know why they have a door greeter; all She does is go outside to smoke, gossip or disappear's. Store is dirty and Parking Lot is gross. Bathroom's are disgusting. When have an issue, as a Customer and bring it their attention; they talk about you and run their mouth under their breath. Worst Store In Indiana.

The inventory is inconsistent. Never know what they will have in stock or not have. I changed from Kroger recently and was happy. After several trips to Meijer grocery and not being to find what I had wanted I am unhappy. One time they have Indian Summer apple juice, next time they do not. One time they have Red Gold crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce and tomato paste. Next time they only have Red Gold diced tomatoes. Very poor selection of canned tomato products. Very poor. Wanted 1/2 pound of white American cheese, Meijer brand. Not in stock. Shelves are empty. I shopped at the Meijer store on Charlestown Rd. New Albany Indiana. Very, very poor merchandising.

I ordered a photo print cake 10 days in advance of my girlfriends birthday. The cake was accepted after I put the order in and I was to pick up at 10am on a Saturday. 1 hour before I was supposed the pick up the cake, the racist, homophobic bakery manager calls me to tell me she isn't printing my cake. She said it was too revealing but that's not true, the pictures on the cake weren't even as revealing as a bikini. Then I offered a different picture then she refused that as well. She ruined the whole birthday. They shouldn't tell someone yes to making a cake with pictures on it & then not make it simply be they don't look like that person .Terrible, never use this bakery, EVER !! If they had a problem with making my cake they had a whole 10 days to let me know, not the hour before pick up. Sad.

Higher prices and you have to do all the work at the checkout. Not worth it.

This bakery is the WORST. I ordered a cake on may 21st, 3 WEEKS before I needed it to give them plenty of time. Showed up March 11th, with my 7 year old to pick up his birthday cake and they just look at me stupid and say “well we must of lost the order, and we don’t have time to make another one” leaving my 7 year old son without a birthday cake and had the “oh well not my problem” attitude. THEN, very stupid of me have them another chance and ordered with the MANAGER of the bakery because they had the specific Barbie cake my daughter wanted. Order on June 12, for a cake to be picked up today, June 25th. They called me at 8:30 a.m, when I’m supposed to be picking the cake up at 10 a.m to tell me they can only make the cake in white, not chocolate, because the place they ORDER THE CAKES FROM is out of chocolate, and they just found out 3 days ago!! So why wasn’t I called 3 days ago!? Not an hour and a half before I’m supposed to pick up for my daughters birthday party!? They don’t make the cakes, they just slap some decorations on it and call it a Meijer made cake. We demanded a manager and her solution was she could throw in some chocolate cupcakes to match the cake. While I appreciate that, my issue was the timing. Linda called me an hour and a half before I’m supposed to pick up, telling me they “just” found out 3 days ago (I should have been called them) but when speaking to the manager she said they have known for a week. Will never order and give them ANOTHER chance, and I recommend you don’t either. Birthday parties/events are stressful enough on the host, a cake issue TWICE in one month is beyond unnecessary and unfair.

This was our first in store shopping in months. For the last several months I've been using curbside. With Covid easing and us both having had our booster, we decided to venture into the store. To our surprise, they were pretty busy in the middle of the day on a Tuesday. The store was stocked pretty well, the only empty shelves I noticed were the paper products, just like every other retailer.Everything was going good until we tried to check out. This Meijer store has 26 check out lanes plus two self checkout areas . Only 2 checkout lanes were open. That being the case, the self checkout areas were packed with many people lined up waiting their turn.We got in line at one of the two staffed regular checkouts. The line snaked back into the shopping aisle. One woman behind us called the service desk and complained. That resulted in a young woman coming over to our area, looking at the line and just walking away. Nothing changed.Next, the lady doing the checkout on our lane was having an on and off conversation with another Meijer employee standing at the bagging area. No, the other employee wasn't helping or bagging, just carrying on a conversation! This also slowed the line considerably. We've mentioned for years that we didn't understand why Meijer invested so much money in 26 checkouts. There's never more than 2 or 3 open. This includes pre-pandemic.My wife said this experience reminded her why she doesn't like shopping at Meijer!

After waiting OVER an hour for my pick up.... Over half of my groceries were not available. This is the second time that I've had issues with pick up. I called and asked to speak to a store manager. They told me he "is apparently not here". I left my name and number and did not get a call back. I've switched to JayC in highlander! MUCH better experience!

We rarely shop at Meijer. There's not really a reason, other than that there isn't one very near our house, and it just never comes to mind. But, recently this location was recommended to me by a friend, and I was looking for a specific item that I found here, so we decided to drive up and check it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection, and the prices, at this Meijer location! Though we had only driven up to check it out and find a specific item, I ended up doing some grocery shopping as well, because of the awesome prices and I found some stuff I don't typically see at my local grocery. They also have a great beer, wine, and liquor selection. This location isn't the most convenient for us, but I think if you're in the area, or don't mind a bit of a drive, this is a great place for shopping, especially for groceries!
