I ordered an expensive wallet for my son for Christmas. When tracking it, I noticed it stayed in Louisville's post office for two days and didn't move. I was worried that since it was a small package, it might have gotten lost in the millions of other packages. I called the USPS which led me through a very straight forward automated experience to file an inquiry. Within the hour a nice lady called me and said she was sure the package wasn't lost and that the USPS is literally working around the clock to be sure packages arrived on time for Christmas. She didn't make me feel obnoxious for filing an inquiry during Christmas time like she could have. Not only that, but she was right. The wallet got delivered within the next few days AND she called me to make sure I received it at 1:10pm when it was delivered. A lot of times the USPS does not receive the credit they're due. They work hard and I can't imagine the chaos they have to endure during the holidays (and all other times of year).. I was extremely impressed with the process and I appreciated the extra step that was taken to make sure I received what I paid for.

SOOO NOT ONLY CAN I NOT GET INFORMED DELIVERY OF MY MAIL FOR WHATEVER REASON
BUT THE MAIL PEOPLE CONTINUOUSLY PUT WRONG MAIL IN MY MAILBOX SO OBVIOUSLY THE NEIGHBORS WHO STEAL MY MAIL ARE GETTING MY MAIL AS WELL!!!! LIVID!! AND U ACCEPTABLE! DO BETTER
SOME PEOPLE ARE UNETHICAL AND WILL NOT GIVE MAIL TO THE CORRECT OWNER SO WAKE UP AND PROPERLY DO YOUR JOB!!!!;

Really wish the mailman would close our mailbox. When he didn't close it yesterday he literally waved it off. Thanks, I love wet destroyed mail.

Still standing here at 907 when they open at 9. Workers inside walking around but just not opening. Terrible and disrespectful to the public.

We had the best experience with Ed at the New Albany office this morning. He was very polite with my 4 year old while he was getting his passport picture and explained the process to us thoroughly.

bad service and increased prices, bad combo. Not sure how USPS will survive like this. I paid extra on 2 diff't certified letters but never got the return signature, even though I paid for it. I was using their "street addressing" service, meaning post office staff were supposed to put my packages from FedEx, UPS, Amazon, etc. into my PO Box (or locker), but instead they would continually lose my packages and blame the carrier even though tracking and signatures show the post office had it. They never put my pkg in my box the same day it was rec'd, always had to wait atleast 24 hours, sometimes 2 weeks. I could no longer afford the prices of their box rental and got tired of them losing my pkgs and staff being so unkind to me. I recommend the UPS Store on State St. in New Albany! they are much better than USPS and they have better prices and much better service. Check them out!

I send something out non-machinable with the approval of the clerk at the branch and the next day it's in my mailbox asking for $4.09 more in postage on two items already charged a price. Kera is the only good thing about this place. Everyone else has an attitude especially Mr. Peacock at the end who has a attitude Everytime I go in.I am so frustrated with the way they do these things.

Why wouldn’t the mailmen take my outgoing mail? I’ve put a sign, a magnet and left the lid open. They just throw mail in and don’t check. Going on week 3 of trying lol, I just moved here - is this normal? What if it was bills :(

I tried to call the local branch of the new albany library and also the 18 hundred number to report that the mailbox at the post office in new albany was overflowing and that people could take out mailIt was nothing but frustrating not to be able to leave a message or to get a hold of a Person to report this problem and protect people's mailTypical post office wasting taxpayer dollars and getting no serviceTime to shut down the whole system and start from scratch. If this would be a real business that had to rely on customer service to stay in business, it would have already failed.

This is the most incompetent post office I've ever seen, I've lived in Clarksville Jeffersonville and KY and never had one problem with my mail until I moved back to New Albany Indiana. I'm tired of them covering each other, and my mail not being put in the mailbox slot, you're mishandling my mail which is resulting in it getting wet and stolen, you have a boss, and I intend to take this Matter to the government, and have it investigated by somebody that's over you!
