1st time in the New Castle location and I will tell you the pharmacist was AWESOME! Everyone is out of my insulin pen that I need. My Doctor finally found it at this Walgreens. Unfortunately they don't accept my insurance, (go figure) but I needed it so what could I do, right. $549.00! So I am standing there waiting to pay that out ragious pice. The pharmacist called me to the side questioned me about my insurance and when he found out I had Government Issued insurance for Veterans he said let me check something. So 2 mins later he came back and said, with the discounts he could find he wss able to get my prescription down to $160.15!!!! THAT MY FRIEND IS AND WAS WONDERFUL! HE definitely went above and beyond his customer service, he actually cared and helped. Je definitely get Huge Kudos for all he did.

Called in to check to see if a medication was back in stock after being out of stock for over 2 weeks now, and I still need a refill. Was transferred through, forced to do a survey (that they have no control over at the store level) then transferred to wait on hold to be helped. The automated system stated there were “more than 3 callers ahead”, then two, then one to eventually just hold music. I posted on Facebook not to call if you didn’t want to be on hold for a long time, to which a couple of friends responded that the pharmacy was closing early. So after waiting on hold for over an hour and a half, I called back for the automated system to announce that the pharmacy was indeed closed. I think it’s absurd that those who were on hold prior to closing were just made to wait for no valid reason to not be helped. I switched to this location after having several issues with the Anderson ones, and now history is repeating itself. Someone-at the very least-could have came on the line to explain what was going on. I’ve heard of people waiting longer than I had before getting to someone-so had I not been told that the pharmacy had closed early, I would probably still be waiting. Very terrible service if you ask me.

Pricing on shelves doesn’t match what it rings up as. When questioned about it they said dunno why. Showed them. And told me the ring up price is correct. Don’t post a deal for products and not honor it.

Last visit, prescription wasn’t filled because it was out of stock. After spending 20 minutes waiting for it. This visit, ordered Christmas cards online and got a confirmation and was notified to pick up after noon. Went at 1, and was told the machine was broken. No notification. No apology when they’ve had my contact info all along. I get that unforeseen things can happen but at what point is it just down right laziness when you can’t notify your customers?
