We stayed in a family cabin on one of the coldest weekends and we were all comfortable. Great hiking trails and we plan to return in the spring.

Great place to camp. Clean bathrooms and quiet. Raccoons fighting in the bush. Friendly staff and rustic cabins. The down side is that the mower needs to put the shroud down on the lawnmower and respect people's property. The chip in my windshield was not pleasant. Stay away from the mower.

We had a 2wk stay here. This is a nice sized campground with spacious sites. We had site 191, which was a large corner site. It was great during the week because there weren't a lot of campers, but the wkends had us looking right into the back of the site in front of us. There was a water spigot right next to our site that made it easy to fill up as needed. The bathrooms and 3 showers in our area were clean and had hot water. There's quite a few trails to walk, bike, or horse ride, along with the roads around the park. There was a lot of wildlife and nature to see. There's a park store with a few grocery items, fishing supplies, and souvenirs. They put on interactive activities at the nature center and serve ice cream for $3 on Saturdays. We were there for the harvest craft show, which was a big to do, very interesting and fun time.

Amazing campground. It has trails, bike ramps, mountain bike trails, it also has a nature center. At the nature center, there are a few animals, but not a massive amount, as there is only one person who operates the place. The nature center constantly hosts education events like making sand candles, or even learning about hellbenders. Every Saturday (usually) they sell ice cream in the outdoor education pavilion from 2-4. They used to have a pool but they couldn't afford to keep it staffed or maintained easily so they had to demolish it and fill it in. I have heard rumors that they might add a splash pad though. They also have 3 playgrounds, one only has swings, one has a volleyball pit with sand, a gagaball pit, swings, and playground. The 3rd one has old swings and a playground. Great place to camp.Playground: FunRestrooms: All bricked bathrooms have showers and sinks but aren't always the cleanest.Dog-friendliness: You can walk your dogs around, but you obviously must pick up after your dog.

New Harmony has beautiful scenery...we love to hike!! Very disappointed to the trails...trail 3 was hard to find and we found the trail number 3 sign was down on the ground...then it was overgrown with tall grass and lots of ticks so we turned back...then trail 5 the bridge was out so we had to turn around...wish the trails were kept up better

We came here on a whim to see how it was. We usually go to a different state park and this one has blown it way out of the water. The camp grounds, the family cabins, and DNR staff are so so nice. The park itself is beautiful. They are pet friendly as long as they are leashed, and you can even have them in the cabins. Will definitely be coming back.

Harmonie State Park is a hidden gem! Beautiful scenery! Wonderful hiking! Challenging MTB trails! Close to the river so there’s lots of wildlife. Also close to New Harmony, IN which is a town worth exploring. The history of New Harmony is a piece of Americana. It ought to be taught in grade schools. It’s a part of how this country was populated. We’re in a 34’ fifth wheel and there’s plenty of room. Enjoy!
