I really enjoy going to Paterson Do It Best hardware store! Ever since I moved here 15 years ago, this is my go to place for all my needs. They have anything & everything you need & some things you didn't know you needed too ! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, EVERY VISIT! IMPRESSIVE VARIETY OF PRODUCTS! THE STAFF ARE ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS!

Came in on Saturday the 14th at 2pm. Looked for license plate screws and found some with help. Then I was Christmas shopping in the tool section and I heard over the radio “customer help in the to area”. This was after the lady had asked me for help and I told her I was just looking for Christmas. The next thing I know there are 3 more associates hounding me all asking me for help. I spent 23 years in retail loss prevention and I knew immediately they were profiling me for the way I looked. (Had a ball cap on and large coat, it’s cold outside btw) I appreciate the first time someone asking me for help but I do NOT appreciate that same person calling for help”help” as she was definitely profiling me. When someone says they are just looking, please let them be. Dont send 3 other men to me because you think I “look” like a thief. I can promise you that if I wanted to walk out with something, I would have never asked for help with the license plate screws. (Those are easy to steal) please have a manager contact me immediately upon reading this at my email address.
UPDATE:
I was never contacted and the visit did not sit well with me. I decided to return the drill and drill bit set back to Pattersons and will purchase the same set at Conollys in Fort Wayne.

Absolutely wonderful selection! Varied.. they have clothes, tools, everything a hardware store should have, and more! This place even has a very elaborate, home wine/beer making section dedicated to the original owner. It has EVERYTHING a home brewer would ever need!! And they know what all of it is for!! The staff are downright sweet, friendly, and helpful.
