Went to get some camo for upcoming turkey season, that’s coming soon. Unfortunately they just didn’t have much. They still had some of fall gear. Just unfortunately not much spring really. I think it’s more of an order online thing anymore for camo.
They pretty much had everything else covered though.

Buying a boat here has literally been the worst experience ever. First off have been nothing but lied to about the “model year end sales event and nation wide pricing”. Same model boat with upgraded trolling motor, electronics at the bow and and upgraded electronics at the console are 2 grand less at every other Cabela’s from Michigan to Florida that I’ve stopped at, all during the same model year end sales event. Then within two weeks of buying the boat my wife leaned over the driver’s seat to reach a cooler and the head rest fell off. Went in to see about getting it fixed under warranty and was told that was possible they just had to order it. A month and a half later I went back in to see about the seat schedule the 100 hr service and have them look at the live well because it would only periodically work. Was told that they were having issues getting the seats in because of all the problems with the ports and strikes. Had no clue ranger could claim to be 100% American made and yet still have stuff being imported. Once I made that statement the service manager back tracked and blamed ranger having new distribution hubs and it making a mess with getting parts. Dropped the boat off on January 6th for the service and what not under the impression they would have the boat a week or two. On the 28th I called checking on the boat and after a couple hours of them looking for what ever they needed to find I got a call back and them saying oh yea your boat was done a week ago. So now to today picking the boat up I was charged $90 to fix the latch on my livewell that was never broken and $11 to replace fuses that had blown. I’m no expert but when fuses blow the thing that’s connected to those fuses don’t work at all. The issue was the livewell would sometimes not fill at all, or sometimes stop filling after only a minute or two and then sometimes it would work just fine. I never had any problems with the aeration end of it just sometimes filling. So to me with a little bit of electrical knowledge would rule out fuses. Now back to the seat. Ticket claims back rest of drivers seat was replaced. You can go to any ranger with the 2 piece seats and wiggle the head rest. They don’t seam sturdy at all. After mine fell off and I was informed that they would have to replace the whole seat back for safety reasons I glued the head rest on so it wouldn’t keep falling off. I used liquid nails and some squeezed out so it’s not hard to tell that the head rest was glued on also I put enough glue in there it wouldn’t sit in it’s original position. After stating that they fixed the seat it’s plain as day that they did not. Seat back is still dirty, still see liquid nails on it. Not once have I had an experience with boat side at this Cabela’s that has involved any amount of honesty.

Bob at the gun counter was really rude with his comments acting like we were cutting the line. BF name was called, and how are we suppose to know there someone with the same first and last name. THE ODDS!

My husband and I came to Cabela’s to look around and browse before going to see a movie at the Emagine theater. We love to camp and hike and wanted to check out some of the available products that we could potentially purchase for the upcoming season. While I was browsing the woman’s clothing section we began to feel discriminated against by one of the employees. She kept following us through the store making weird faces like she suspected us of shoplifting. It made me feel very uncomfortable and sad. I immediately wanted to leave. I understand that employees are required to look out for this kind of thing, but I’m not sure what my husband or I could have done that would have led this woman to believe we were potential shoplifters. We were simply looking at different products and talking about them amongst ourselves.

My first review ever, and it takes a lot for me to actually want to leave a review, especially a negative one. And I don’t like being “that guy” but I was so unimpressed with my experience here, i have to share. I come to Indiana once or twice a year to visit family, and make it a point each time to visit this store. I’ve been about 5 times now, and every single time the guys behind the gun counter are nothing but rude. Now they won’t even answer a single question for you if you’re not signed into the kiosk. Even interrupted me while asking for help telling me to sign into the kiosk. Mind you, there was nobody else on the gun floor at the time. As a gun salesman myself, this experience was even more of a reminder of how NOT treat customers. Will gladly take my business to a more professional and friendly dealer.

I love this place, but this visit did not make me happy. Years ago, I bought my Bradley electric smoker here, and every so often, I would stop in to buy my smoker biscuits. This time was no different except they informed me they no longer carry that line and will not be supporting it. Now that was upsetting to me as I loved stopping in and getting fishing gear and other items. But I will now have to get that item elsewhere.

Great store, horrible process at the gun counter. Approached an employee behind the gun counter about picking up a delivered gun I purchased at another Cabelas. Never greeted me, just told me to sign in at the kiosk, nothing else. I had to find the kiosk myself. Signed in and spent the next twenty minutes watch three different employees stand and talk to each other as they waited for one customer at a time to complete the paperwork. Additionally, they are "professionally rude" when engaging other people, like me, who never seen such a ridiculous process before. Absolutely no reason why they can't answer customer questions, start other paperwork processes or at the absolute very minimum engage the people waiting. I will never stop at this counter again, which means I will never shop this store again since shopping guns is the primary reason for going to a sporting store. I recommend you go somewhere else as well. BTW, no the other Cabelas I bought the gun at did not have this RIDICULOUS process.
