"Good food, not terribly expensive and a fun atmosphere.
Do NOT try taking large parties here, they refuse to accommodate large groups in any way. Called to ask about putting a table together for 16+ but seeing as it's first come first serve (will not take reservations even for big groups) the wait would have been close to 2 hours.
I would limit group size to 5-6 people, find somewhere else for bigger groups."
"Flavorful and fresh! Our server Levi was amusing and was spot on with recommendations. Great first experience @ Chuy's."
"Always a great place to grab a bite to eat. AMAZING chips and salsa, the queso to die for, burritos to fall in love with, macho burrito for life! Don't forget excellent service, keep a look out for the guy named Matt working at the bar because he is amazing and hilarious!"
"The best waitress we've probably ever had! Food was great!. She made sure that we had everything we needed and that it wasn't too spicy for me. We.really appreciate it. "
"Quite possibly the worst service I have ever experienced and an overall lack of attention or engagement in our table other than to make snide comments about how much she likes alcohol and why weren't we drinking more. Near our table, there was a dropped feminine hygiene product (thankfully still in wrapper) but the server tried to put it on the table between me and my plate and I had to explain to her that it was not mine but she didn't believe me. When I finally did get my entree, I didn't eat much of it as it was not very good (the meat in the taco was overly dry and the veggies/cheese had only a greasy flavor) and she didn't offer to take it off my tab. She just made a comment about how she doesn't like to try anything new because she would only end up disappointed. Lastly, everything is way overpriced. When I lived in Austin, I used to go to the Chuy's on Lamar and loved it, and even though I live in Indiana, I would sooner drive to North Lamar than ever return back to this location."
