I was referred to Kristin Jones by my amazing realtor Christina Eslinger! I was starting the search for my first home so I did not have a lender I had worked with prior. At the recommendation of my realtor, I interviewed Kristin and another lender but I decided to work with Kristin. My first impression is that Kristin listened, was low pressure, let me take the lead and seemed very genuine. Let me say, my first impressions did not disappoint! Kristin is the lending partner you need to succeed!
I initially connected with Kristen in 2018 to buy a home. We talked through my finances and determined my home buying strategy. Determining this strategy was important for me for a few reasons. First, because I personally am very protective of my credit score and I did not want my credit ran until I was ready to make an offer. Kristin worked with me on this request. The first time we needed to make an offer, she had everything ready and I had my score as well as a pre-approval letter in less than 1 hour. Second, I was in the market for either a fixer upper or a move in ready home, so we had loan strategies prepared for both situations. If I moved into a fixer upper, I was going to do renovations pre-move in and she had great loan products to help me with this goal! Lastly, Kristin and I set a personal monthly mortgage maximum amount that was lower than what I qualified for and she helped me ensure that I stayed within my personal limits.
While I am sure other great lenders may offer similar great qualities, here are the reasons you need Kristin specifically:
1) Kristin is fast! I made 6 offers in 2018. Given how competitive the market was, Kristin understood the importance of getting my offers in fast and my offers included my pre-approval letter from Kristin. She was incredibly responsive and timely.
2) Kristin understands and cares! When I decided to bow out in 2018, Kristin was completely supportive and let me know she was ready when I was. Additionally she checked in throughout the two years I waited to see what I was thinking as far as trying to buy a home again. As soon as I was ready to try again in 2020, we met again to re-review strategy and discuss the current market. I also had an email with any information needing to be updated so I was ready.
3) KRISTIN'S REPUTATION IS WHY YOU WIN! 2020 was just as competitive of a home market as 2018 but I was mentally ready to make what felt like ridiculous offers. For example, I knew home prices would likely see another 5% min increase compared to what homes went for in 2019 and that meant my offers needed to be over asking price by 5% to even have a chance. Fast forward to my dream home which was the third home I offered on in 2020. I was in a typical competitive situation, made an offer at 5% above asking price, offer to paid closing cost, 30 day close, I wrote a letter and included a picture, was first offer in and competing with 2 other offers. ADDITIONALLY, Kristin knew this was my dream home and knew the realtor so she took the extra step to call the realtor to put in a good word for me. Because of Kristin, I got the home. The selling realtor stated that I had done everything right (ie letter, strong offer thanks to my realtor) AND because she had worked with Kristin in the past and knew that closing would be smooth sailing. Kristin was the tipping point that got me my dream home!
Kristin and her team did not disappoint in supporting through the rest of the home buying process (from offer accepted to close). We moved quick, I was supported, and it was truly smooth sailing. I cannot recommend Kristin enough and I will definitely partner with her for any lending needs in the future. I am so thankful to have her as my lending partner for my first home buying experience. Kristin is honest, fast, reliable, supportive, caring and a partner! You need Kristin as your lending partner.
