They got me in very quickly on a Saturday, which was nice. The salon was clean and the staff was friendly.
I only came in for a hair wash. Technically they washed my hair- they scrubbed the ends for quite awhile, but spent maybe 10 total seconds lightly cleaning my scalp. I left with my scalp still oily and ended up having to re-wash at home, which defeated the whole purpose of paying someone. My hair was also matted because you're not really supposed to scrub the ends like that :( not sure where they learned that technique.

Took her about eight minutes I paid a five dollar tip But probably shouldn’t have because I told her I come to her to cut because barbers usually use a razor and leaves a good white wall. My features do not go well with white walls. None the last one side white walls the other side pretty good the other side that’s not so good is Shaggy on the side. I think that’s unacceptable for a trained barber or stylus or whatever they call themselves at great clips. There are some good ones, but I but I haven’t seen any of last two times and I don’t know the names of those who did good jobs in the past And then again I don’t really know how to get a hold of them cause I guess they come and go to various shops get the good ones go where the money is and the lousy ones stay put here in Plainfield

Never will I ever go back in that place..45 mins wait...allowed 2 children in front that weren't in the salon while I waited. .too hell with great clips and their shifty salons..

I’ve always steered clear of the chain store salons due to issues I’ve had in the past. Today I can say that Great clips saved my butt. I spent $75 at a “barber” shop to get a cut and shave. The “barber” absolutely destroyed my hair. The only place I could find open nearby was this Great Clips. A very pleasant young lady named Dawn checked me in within 30 seconds of walking in. I told her my situation and she was quick to take in the challenge. Dawn had me straight to a chair and went to work. She was able to 100% fix my disaster for less than half of what I paid to create it. Very happy, and I will be back. Thank you Dawn!

I am delighted that my primary stylist, Dawn, has shared her contact information with me. This way I could make sure and go when she is working as I had a previous stylist who really messed up my cut and it took almost a year to get it right. Everyone is very nice. I like the online check-in system. The salon is very clean and all the Silas seem to have some primary customers as well as very gracious with walk-ins. My sister and I have been going there for almost 3 years now.

Went today for a haircut. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted. When she was done I told her that it was nothing like the picture. It looked like someone put a bowl on my head and cut my hair! I was so upset that I didn’t want her doing anything else to my hair!
I ended up going to another salon to get it fixed. 45 dollars later from a lady just out of cosmetology school, I am happy to have what I asked for to begin with.
I WILL NEVER STEP ANOTHER FOOT IN GREAT CLIPS!!!!!!!
