Excellent customer service! I booked a appointment for a conventional oil change. They got me in very quickly and listened to my concerns on other issues checked those out for me as well! 5 star service!! I have been a customer for many many years, I 100% recommend stopping by!

This is my go-to place! First, engine light came on right before a long trip (naturally!). Dealership ran diagnostics and said, yep, there’s something wrong, and couldn’t get me in for a couple weeks. Took the vehicle to an independent guy who also ran diagnostics, test drove it, and charged me $80 for his time, saying it might be this or that and he could order a couple parts and see if that was the problem…pay for expensive parts that may or may not fix it!
Finally went to Pep Boys and they immediately diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and had me on my way the same day!
This week, I had a problem with the shroud, and although they said I needed to order one through the dealer, they fixed me up temporarily so it wouldn’t rub the front tires…at no charge!!!

Pep boys at this location in Plainfield did an amazing job and went above and beyond to give me the absolute best customer service. Faith who I assume is the manager is a very sweet girl. I walked into pep boys and let them know about my situation with my tire, and needing my rim replaced with a new rim I brought in. I needed it swapped and changed and then put back on my vehicle. Once it was done, I was not charged for anything and that made me in awe. Faith is so sweet and I thanked her for taking care of my car and my car was good as new. Thank you Pep Boys!

I went in after 5:00 to have a tail light replaced. There were only 3 people there and all were really friendly and helpful. They replaced the taillight within 15 minutes and I was on my way. Great service.

As a hospitality professional myself, I don’t expect to get good service, much less care from anywhere.
Though at the times when I do get exceptional care along with quality service, I am filled with gratitude, for I consider it a great blessing.
I usually go to Jiffy Lube but I remembered the email coupon for Pep Boys which led me to the Plainfield location.
Because of team members like JIM, they should rename the brand Pep-Gentlemen.
From the time I walked in the door, I was greeted with a warm welcome, patient explanations, and volunteered help.
His service included a level of empathy and care that just doesn’t exist in the world.
He had no idea of everything I had gone through to make it to the Plainfield Pep Boys today. However, because of the care extended by Jim “a stranger”during my time here, I have the gratitude and motivation needed to keep on going.

They were able to tell me what was wrong with my car, they came out and explained what was wrong and what all needed to be fixed. I chose to go somewhere else to get it fixed for a lower price. They took an hour to give me my keys back. When I asked for my keys the front desk person said they haven’t even looked at my car.

I made an appointment for a tire patch, power steering, transmission fluid, and brake fluid flushing. The desk person assured me at the time of the phone call the work would be completed by the end of the day. After leaving work early to make the appointment, I was told at the desk that they would not be able to complete everything. Only the brake fluid flushing could be completed by end of day. They changed store hours and did not notify me by any means. I was informed I would have to make an appointment later next week to complete the services. Extremely dissatisfied with this store and their lack of communication.

Took my 2017 Cadillac Xts that I bought from Carvana for an inspection to see if all checked out! During the inspection they found that my shocks were leaking and needed tires! Faith was Awesome and worked with the warranty company taking and emailing pictures. She got everything approved and ended up only buying two tires!! Definitely will be back!! Thanks again!!

I cannot tell you how sweet Bud was to me when I had a question about my battery.
He did a full on fix of the battery terminal. I did not even have an appointment.
The genuine kindness and helpfulness absolutely meant the world. He told me to come right back if there are problems. Cannot recommend enough!
