Attempted a migration. Found out that instead of "real" OWA, the only web access I had was through an Outlook icon on a general MS365 account page that required multiple steps to access. Yes...I do have client software for Exchange, but OWA is a good standby to have just in case something happens to an installed client. I gave up and decided to terminate the service when I discovered that the migrated account password was sent to the email address I was in the process of migrating. Of course, I could not access that email without the password. [Emailing notification of account details to an email address the client doesn't have access to doesn't count.] Fortunately, I was able to undo the changes they made to my domain's DNS record and was able restore some records and stay with my current provider. (I think I got them all, but they never confirmed the list of record entries that I think were theirs.) A special treat was the creation of a new Microsoft account with the same name as my existing Microsoft account. (This is just asking for trouble.) When I terminated our relationship I asked them to close everything they set up. However, that second account is still there. Microsoft does not make it easy to cancel account.
