This place is a scam. I went because I thought it was a liquidation sale. The prices are some of the Highest in the area. The sale is misleading. I wanted to buy a recliner. But Nothing in the Plainfield store is actually for sale. They told me to go to their Indianapolis warehouse to pick up my recliner. So everything in the store is just to look at. I don't want to run up to the city for an overpriced recliner! I wanted to put one in my car and drive away with it. Very inconvenient. Poor business model. I went down the road and found a much cheaper one that I brought home the same day at a local Plainfield business. Do not be deceived.

The pricing in this store is the main reason that this business will not survive anyplace.They are advertising that they are in chapter 11. No wonder. These people need to go to church!

Would not recommend. When we purchased the couch we were told Feb 7th for delivery. Got a call last week saying that our delivery could be moved up from Feb 27th to Feb 7th. I was very confused by this call as it was never scheduled for Feb 27th. Just received a call saying they can’t do the 7th and it will have to be later in the month. Delivery date was very important to us and a reason why we ordered the couch. This is very frustrating and not a great experience

Sadly, this review comes with warning for anyone who decides to shop here. When I decided to look for some items here in November of 2023, I thought I finally found a great place to find affordable furniture. Julie, the manager is outstanding! I feel terrible for her and none of the issues I have had were of any fault of hers. To me, it's easier to list what happened.1. Purchased a table in November 2023, we are still waiting for a replacement chair, it's going to be late February 2024.2. We purchased a theater seat. They have delivered 4 different couches. The one we decided to keep, we are still waiting on parts and they will not be shipped until March 2024, then I have to call and schedule a third party vendor to come install the parts.3. The delivery staff was a huge issue as well. They were beyond rude and tracked mud clear throughout my upstairs. The only great delivery person was Leo. He was amazing and I can tell he cares. He even looked at my couch that was damaged during delivery and the mechanical parts aren't working to see if he was able to resolvethe issue. He's so nice and I appreciated him for trying to help!4. The last item was also purchased in November 2023, we are still waiting and it will not be in until late February 2024. This will be if we are lucky and they don't push it back again.By the way, they charged us for all of it in November 2023 and we are still waiting. I ask if the warranty begins when it's delivered, the answer, "good question I have no idea". This was the worst! It's really too bad as some furniture is great for a great price, but the delivery staff is a third party contract and not employees of The Room Place, and the repair staff will also be contacted. The Room Place does nothing to compensate for the issues. They offered a 100.00 coupon to shop again there. With all due respect, why would I shop there when it's taken nearly 4 months and possibly counting to receive my items. I will not shop there again.

I ordered a sectional June. 11, 2023. It's January 18, 2024 and I haven't received my furniture.the only contact I've had with The Room Place is a voicemail that the delivery date has changed. Then they blame the manufacturer. I went to the store in November to see if they'd allow me to select something different. What I wanted was $400 more and the store wouldn't compensate me for the difference. I am so disappointed with my experience. I always purchase my furniture at The Room Place and unfortunately because of what happened I never will again. There are so many other choices for furniture. I suggest you go somewhere else. Don't waste your time or money with this company!!! They don't appreciate your business and calling today I'm told they stopped compensating their customers a year and a half ago. I'm suppose to receive a call from the GM in 24-48hrs. I'm not sure I'll get it. UPDATE: I never received a call from anyone in upper management. UPDATE: I never received a phone call from anyone in upper management

The Room Place has great prices and we picked out exactly what we wanted Till we found out the delivery was going to be a 399.00 dollar charge even thou I was spending 4500.00 sorry I just cant do that so we will move on to someone who has a more reasonable delivery fee !Just to make sure I am perfectly clear it had nothing to do with the sales lady or the quality of the product we found exactly what we wanted at The Room Place but the delivery fees are out of the question.

came on a sunday with my family to get some dining furniture, and the girl receptionist was having a private conversation on the company phone for over 30 minutes. we got tired of her ignoring us, even when a very nice salesman tried asking her something and his body language was awkward trying to get info from her - and she never put the phone down! ended up just walking out of this place and considered applying for her position

Way overpriced items and the employees are working on a commission so they're trying to sell you the highest priced item that can so they can make money. Not that it the item is best for you it's best for them and their pockets

I went today to look for some furniture for my new home and Salesrep Tanner was awesome! Not only was he professional and outgoing but knew exactly what type of sofa set I needed! Highly recommended and this guy's deserves a promotion a day raise!

We were greeted, immediately, by Emily to help us. We knew exactly what we wanted since we did our research on-line. We asked Emily to help us build the couch we wanted and had previously owned a version of (Godiva Liam Set ). We just couldn’t bring the old one to the new house 5 years ago because it was to big. Emily introduced us to Tanner and asked if we would mind if he helped since he was a new hire in training. They were both awesome and did exactly what we needed help with. Broke it down with all options and costs. She was very knowledgeable of her job and the company’s inventory and abilities. Quick checkout, a few good laughs, and I even gave them some suggestions for better wi-fi in their store! Emily and Tanner nailed it. No gimmicks, no pushy sales, just accommodating and helpful on a relaxing Sunday in Plainfield, IN.
