Dollar Stores in Portland, IN

“Family Dollar is one of my favorite destinations when out looking to impulse buy or get decent prices on essentials. I'm a forever and always, born and bred small town gal and there is just something about this store and it's companion stores like DG (You ain't in a small town unless the place has one of each lol) that just feel inviting. The familiarity, the memories of being a kid and getting picked up at school by your favorite aunt or uncle and feeling so happy and carefree as they cruise you around to all the local shops for candy and cheap toys. What felt better as a child than someone you loved dearly spending the day with you that you didn't see regularly? Only thing better was when they smiled down at you after passing through the dinging doors and said, "Go on now honey, pick out whatever you want!"”

“I've been shopping here the past 6 months and I loved this little dg cause everytime I go in it's very clean and the shelves are always stocked. Also, my son has autism and I'm always looking for sensory toys to help him (needoh, rms dumpling, and things like that) but it's hard to find for him lately. I asked the manager if they had any in stock a couple weeks ago and she said no, but she would let me know if they did get a shipment. I thanked her but didn't expect her to remember as a manager assuming she had enough things on her mind. Well I went in 2 days ago and she immediately and excitedly told me she got in new squishy's that my son hadn't seen before and his bday is tomorrow so it was really special she remembered him like that. I don't know her name but she has shorter blonde hair and she's awesome. Just wanted to give a shout out to her and let yall know she needs a raise lol”
