“Wanted to share my experience today to really show the value of small business. On New Year’s Eve we went in to snag some steaks. Fast forward two days later we went to cook them and realized a little snafoo. I called the shop to see if there was a way I could somehow get my money back. The lady on the phone was so kind and told me to bring them back and we can switch them out. Easy enough I went to the store showed her my concern and with a super positive attitude she gladly bagged be up two replacement steaks . After weighing them, she explained that I would be credited back some money due to the weight difference. I snagged a seasoning bottle and told her I wasn’t worried about the difference. She insisted I get the remaining $2.57 on a gift card and I can bring it in next time. She didn’t have to do any of that. From start to finish. But she did ! I was so hesitant to make a fuss or ask for a replacement and she told me she was glad I came in and that she could help me sort it out. This is why it’s so crucial to shop local! Thank you so much for the quality of service you provide your community !!”
“Great local place.
Top secret: best deviled egg potato salad.
No, I’m not kidding 😂
Everybody expects a meat market to have quality steaks, great cuts, and local flavor. John’s has all of that. But somehow the thing I kept thinking about afterward was the deviled egg potato salad.
This feels like one of those classic local places where the regulars already know exactly what’s good before they even walk in. I’m still working my way into that category 😅 But places like this usually earn loyal customers for a reason.
Sometimes certain stops just end up sticking with you for reasons you don’t really expect. This one feels like one of those.
Easy recommendation.”
