The service at Jay C is always good. Unfortunately, Kroger would rather spend their money on suburban stores that rake in loads of cash instead of spending any on upgrading their Jay C stores. This store needs new floors and some major upgrades, but I don't see Kroger spending any money doing upgrades.

This used to be a nice store. The isles always seem cluttered and they’re often out of important items. Perhaps under new management. It’s much easier to shop at Walmart

I always visit this store when visiting Salem indiana. It's clean, well organized and has a great selection.

Called in to order an ice cream cake 2 days ago because you must give 48 hours advance notice, I was to pick it up today at 6:30 p.m.. received a call from them at 7:00 this morning telling me they just now got my order and they don't carry ice cream cakes in that store which is fine I understand every store doesn't carry the same thing but I ordered this 2 days ago why are you just getting the order now? Maybe the rest of the store isn't as incompetent as the bakery but I will never be going back because it took them two days to even see my order and now I am scrambling to find a birthday cake the day of the birthday...

I came in and bought exactly what I wanted on sale and a new item to try and got the senior citizens discount. The staff is friendly and helpful too. I hope that I made a new friend today as this is one of my usual shopping spots.

It would be nice if the expanded their floral section. Make a better fresh fruit and vegetable section. Self check or more open lines. Long wait for checkout.
