They do not cleanRooms during your stay. if you need towels or linens you have to put stuff in the hall and then they will drop towels off in front of your door…on the floorContinental breakfast was provided. They have a year round pool and jacuzzi

Great place to stay. I wish we could have a drink at the hot tub.

Staff was very nice(especially 2nd shift lady) and the jacuzzi tub was clean. I wish there was more options to eat while there and could use some updates but very accommodating!Rooms: Great size and clean!

Santa's Lodge is magical at Christmas. The Christmas package includes crafts for the kids, a pass to the Land of Lights, dinner with Santa, Santa story time, breakfast, the room of your choice. (Some rooms have huge whirlpool baths.)The staff are extremely friendly & helpful. The heated indoor pool & hotub are great. (They also have an outdoor pool for summer. It also looks like they have a zipline.)The lodge is right across from the main chrostmas shops and post office. It is just a couple miles from the Candy Castle, free Santa Claus museum & original buildings where kids can write then send letters to Santa. You can also see Holiday World theme park from the lodge.I think they could work on the dinner with Santa, but all in all my autistic child loved it and didn't want to leave. They maybe should serve dinner instead of a buffet because several kids were un monitored by their parents getting their own food. We saw one stick their fingers directly the butter dish on the buffet. Of course that is a parenting issue not the lodge. Also seating was a small issue. They reserve seats but only locals seem to know the process. Maybe they should set seating for everyone instead of giving preference, but it worked out OK.All in all it was a wonderful weekend and my son already wants to go back.Rooms: The rooms were comfortable and had an antique lodge theme.Nearby activities: The hotel is right across the street from the main Christmas shops. It is also steps from a pizza placeHokiday world can be seen just down the block.

The good:*Customer service was excellent*The themed lobby was gorgeous*Literally everything everywhere was extremely clean. My job is to inspect cleaners of Airbnbs and I am PICKY about this. It was all 10/10 clean*Pool was perfect -warm and clean. So often heated pools aren’t very heated. This was great*Best hot tub experience of your life. Jets were like a combo of a hydro massage bed and those aggressive massage guys in the mall. You could sit in between them if you don’t need pain relief and it would be normal. For us? Loved the serious jets.*For the breakfast: sausage and biscuits were good. Appreciated the yogurt. The bad:*Hardest bed I’ve ever slept on. Like sleep on the floor hard. Like if your Air mattress gave out in the night and it was just hardwood beneath you sleep.*Not enough pillows for 2 people and they were small/flat*Not enough towels for 2 people if one is a girl and needs to dry her hair.*Walls very thin. Ps to the guest in 107 last night - you have sleep apnea and need a machine. It’ll help with the snoring. 111? That tv show was not that funny…. For guests upstairs at 5 am this morning in prob 209? Your wife is right, sir. Hit the shops early and then go to brunch because crowds in town are brutal. Yep, I heard every word ??♀️ I slept maybe 3 hrs total despite going to bed at 10.*Breakfast was overall sad, eggs inedible, waffles mentioned last night were awol. All in all, cute place, fantastic people. Just needs a little extra effort to get there and maybe a padded mattress pad.

It's a very fitting place, since we wanted to celebrate the Christmas season. The lodge is very rustic. It makes for a perfect place to celebrate the Christmas season. So many activities to do locally. The rooms are very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. It is under new ownership, and they are doing a great job updating the lodge. It was absolutely magical for all of the grandkids. The front desk staff is great, and the new owners are very accommodating.Rooms: Very clean.

Staff friendly. Altough hotel dated i would not say unclean or unsanitary. Indoor and outdoor pools were clean and accommodating. Hot tub was a cold tub with bubbles. Complimentary hot breakfast could have been better if followed a cook less more often format.

The only thing this place has going for it is the location and the nice staff. Our room was not clean, unbelievably dated with the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. The only way they’re getting away with what they charge is the proximity to Holiday World. I won’t stay there again and I don’t recommend it for anyone else either.

Upon our arrival when we checked our room the sheets on the bed had not been changed. Had spiders, bugs and stains. Once reported they did give us a new room. That room the bathroom was missing light bulbs. Pillows are cheap and horrible. Could not swim in the indoor pool. They used so much chemicals it burned our eyes. The steps leading down to feed the fish needs lots of work. Broken boards and door. Its so outdated. Needs updated badly.Nearby activities: stayed because it was close to Holiday World.

Very nice Christmas Themed hotel, yes it is dated but I think it just adds to it. We enjoyed both indoor and outdoor pools as well as the hot tub. The jets are messed up on the hot tub but it was hot. The staff was awesome, any questions we had them helped. Definitely would love to go back.Rooms: We had a double queen bed room. Beds were decent and the air was nice. The water was nice and hot, and the pressure was great as well.

We expected an older lodge, however the carpet and paint were new the curtains and bedding were old. We had cigarette ash stains on the sheets and the pillows were horrible. The pool had live spiders in it just hanging out at the bottom. The paint was falling from the air ducts and falling in the indoor pool area. The hot tub water was colder then the pool. The guy at the front desk did call maintenance but was after 9pm when it was fixed. Breakfast was simple and not a very clean room. We drove 30 min away to Tell City to get a hotel there the next night as we were not staying there again. For the location to the park it was ideal but the smell and the room itself was bad. The lobby was ok however expected some updates in the rooms. It needs help.

We left the room in the middle of the night. The beds were beyond uncomfortable. This hotel may have been a nice place in it's day but that time has passed. The proximity to Holiday World is the only thing keeping this place afloat. Find another hotel is my suggestion.

Terrible! Don’t go there! The rooms stink like wet cigarettes- clearly this was an old smoking room we had. The place was run down and old. The bed was a very old, thin, squeaky mattress. I was super disappointed- not worth the money at all. We actually checked out after a few hours because we couldn’t stand the smells. Stay away!
