DO NOT PURCHASE THE OPTIMUM WELLNES PLAN. They sell it to you as some kind of insurance (even though the website says that it is not insurance) that will give you discounts and all of these perks. In reality, they want to perform all of these exams and run labs that you normally would not run at the beginning of the plan with the hopes that you cancel or that your animal passes away so that they can continue to charge you the remainder of the year. My animal recently passed away and they want to continue to charge me monthly for the remainder of the year for a service that she will not benefit from. It's a scam. I suggest finding another hospital if you have the choice. Or at a minimal, do not purchase this scam. They just want to take advantage of you.

No one ever answers the freaking phone no messages!! So frustrating when my dog needs her meds and they also ignore the faxing from the pharmacy! As much as Banfield costs hire a receptionist bc this is so ridiculous!!

Staff is always wonderful during my visits with my furbaby. Ever since the Merrillville location closed the transition to this location has been great. Doctors are very detailed and thorough.

For the past four years, my greyhound has been in the caring hands of the staff at Banfield Pet Hospital, and their level of professionalism and compassion have been nothing short of exceptional. Despite having moved out of the area since our initial appointment, I continue to make the extensive commute, purely because of my trust in this dedicated team.The staff at Banfield treat my greyhound as if he were their own pet, demonstrating a depth of compassion that is truly commendable, particularly given their heavy patient workload. This personal touch is one of the many factors that sets Banfield apart in the world of pet care.During our most recent visit, my greyhound was due for his annual comprehensive check-up and dental cleaning. Given his advanced age, I had some additional concerns which I shared with the staff. Upon picking him up in the evening, the attending vet took the time to carefully address each of my concerns, answering all my questions and outlining any complications they had encountered during his treatment.In addition to this, they provided a comprehensive report and even followed up the next morning to check on his condition. Such attentiveness, coupled with the Banfield Comprehensive Wellness Plan—which includes most of their services in a monthly fee—only adds to the incredible value provided by Banfield.Over the years, besides regular check-ups, we have also sought emergency treatment at Banfield for injuries and illnesses. Each time, they have been able to prioritize his treatment and provide prompt care. Although Dr. Molly Laurinas is his primary vet, he has been seen by most of the staff, all of whom have shown the same level of dedication and care.In conclusion, my experience with Banfield Pet Hospital has been overwhelmingly positive. Their unwavering commitment to providing the highest level of pet care, along with their compassion and professionalism, makes them a trusted choice for pet owners.

I called Banfield to get Cassidy seen because he wasn't eating. When I explained the situation I was told it would be 3 days to get Cassidy in. Are you kidding me?

Initially Banfield seemed great. But now it's impossible to get them to answer the phone or get any assistance. Do yourself a favor and take your fur baby somewhere else.

This hospital never returns your calls. They claim that they are extremely short staffed. However, their quality of work at this facility is sub standard. I dropped off my dog to get care which was 7:30 in the morning and by 3 o'clock in the afternoon they still hadn't done anything and I have an extremely demanding schedule. There was no respect in that. You have a manager by the name of Heather that has no sense of urgency or responsibility for any problems that occur there at all. Being in healthcare myself, if I had treated a patient with the lack of respect and regard for their care and treatment, I would've been fired. Do not go to this facility because it is apparent that they are not capable of taking care of you or your pet in any way at all.

Had my 3 boys on a plan for many years. Doctors put alot of pressure on pet owners to agree on additional services that are not necessary. If you don't agree to these additional unnecessary services they make you feel extremely guilty. Therefore, I canceled the memberships and went to a different clinic and couldn't not be happier.

Been coming to them since they open, Charlie is my second dog I entrusted to their care and they have always been good. Yesterday I called in panic mode asking to bring him in the morning for he’s not eating and lethargic they were filled beyond capacity with only I Vet being there today, she advised me to call other places ect which I had did because I spoke to someone there earlier and EVERYONE of them were overbooked. She told me hold on she would speak with the Vet and see. What seem like days( but was prob only 5 mins) she returned and told me “ mom bring him in, we will make it work” I could hear the genuine empathy in her voice. I love Banfields and will always be a client of theirs. Again thank you to the young lady that heard my pleas and to the Vet that loves her job and vowed to see my Charlie today. But last night he vomited up a tube sock of his dad , perked up, ate etc and return to his self, stealing snacks jumping up counter surfing ect. Thank you Banfields you guys are the BOMB.
