Couldn't be happier. Went for an oil change and they squeezed me in. A few days later my thermostat needed to be replaced. Since I just moved back to area I didn't have a mechanic so I was glad I went for the oil change because I feel like I have a good and honest mechanic now. .

I recently moved to Indiana and I was looking for a repair shop. They always go out of their way to take care of me. I had a problem with my Infiniti and it was misdiagnosed by the dealer and they were charging me $$$, but it turned out that there was small issue that Junior and Geo took care of it at no charge! They did other things on my cars for no charge. They are the best! Honest prices and excellent work. Thank you!

I have been driving since I was 15 and have had my share of mechanical failures, but now they are more complicated. I am confined to a wheelchair and drive with the use of a handicap equipped mini van. So there are much more and intricate things, and parts, to fail. Last week the passenger side power cargo door, where the ramp that allows me entry and exit deploys, began to malfunction, leaving me stuck inside my van and causing the ramp to fail to deploy, or close, when trying to open the door. I jokingly said I was about to call for the "Jaws of Life" to come and extricate me, but with the help of a neighbor, and my Mother, I was able to get out of my van.I ultimately took the van to James Chrysler, in Cedar Lake, and was told that the sliding door track had to be replaced and that would cost me $1,100+. Being on a fixed Disability payment, that amount would put quite the dent in my monthly budget. Possibly meaning pork and beans, and cornbread for a week or so (exageration). So, I called McInnis Automotive and discussed my dilemma with Junior. What a nice person. I literally felt that I had know him all my life. He was just that friendly and personable. It was obvious that he was genuinely concerned about my issue, realizing how important this van was to me. My van is my independence and the only means of transportation that me and my elderly Mother have. So, I got on the phone and called a friend who went to James Chrysler and picked up my van. I then took it to McInnis, and I am certain that Junior made arrangements to put my van on the fast track to have it looked at. I dropped her off on Friday and I received the call this morning, the following day, Saturday, that it was repaired. It was simply a cable, not the track. Grand total.......$166.06. I was prepared to order the complete track assembly and pay McInnis for the removal and installation, which probably would not have been as much as the James Chrysler quote, but still a significant amount. McInnis could have told me that they replaced the track and I probably would have been none the wiser, but they didn't. I had discussed with Junior what James Chrysler had told me and even suggested that I get out ahead of the repair and order the part, but Junior told me not to do that, to wait for one of their Technicians to look at it first, and I did just that.Wow, by taking my van to McInnis, heeding Juniors sage advice, I saved over $1,000. McInnis........Friendly, honest, accomodating. There's not enough adjectives to describe the awesomeness (is that a word?) of McInnis Automotive. Oh, I don't want to forget Freddie, the McInnis employee who delivered my van to me. Awesome personality, and again, like I have know him all my life. We had a nice conversation on my drive to take him back to the shop.McInnis is my huckelberry. I will be taking my van there for all my service needs! THANK YOU MCINNIS for your over the top Customer Service, mechanical service, and equally important to me, your honesty.Service: General repairs & maintenance

10 Stars! Absolutely saved my life today. I was stranded here while working (I'm from Illinois) and they were able to look at my car within minutes and got to work. So thankful to find a repair shop like this, I couldn't have broken down in a better place.

Very disappointed in diagnostic repairs changed for, but failed, and in very rude and unprofessional in solving the problem.I will never go to them again, or advise anyone to. They do not deserve any stars. They never offered any apology or compromise for their very poor service.
