Preferred Meats Inc., established in 2007 and also known as Huber's Preferred Meats, is a family owned and operated market. It is Southern Indiana's premier meat market, selling the highest quality meats and seafood. They feature Chairman's Reserve beef and pork, Boarshead deli items, Miller Amish chicken, and the freshest daily seafood. Their selection includes dry aged prime beef, prime pork, and game meats like elk, venison, and ostrich. They make their own pork sausage, chicken sausage, and brats in several flavors.
The store is known for its very friendly, helpful, and super friendly staff, with customer service that can't be beat. The selection is always fresh and of the best quality. While you pay more for their products, you get what you pay for. Customers recommend it for a good occasion to get a delicious dinner with tons of flavor. Their chorizo and sunshine sausage made in house is top, and they also have great local dairy products like buttermilk and chocolate milk.
The people are very pleasant to work with. I needed pork shank for a tonkatsu style ramen broth topped with pork belly, veges, soft boiled egg. If I’m cooking anything for 18 hours, yea it’s worth it:)!!!

It's a great little store and the meat looks really really good! Is it a bit pricey yes but, it's not pre-packaged, Frozen thawed out, resold so on and so forth! I bought a really beautiful pork roast that I'm cooking now. I may follow up with pictures later 😊
