“I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The team at Seymour Animal Hospital, and especially Dr Sunbury deserve so much more than 5 stars. My husband and I brought in our 3 year old pregnant Cane Corso after being up all night because she was struggling in labor. We had went to some big time hospital in Carmel the night before, and got the run around and sent home with no concrete plan. After feeling in the dark and not knowing what to do to help our dog, we reached out to SAH and they made room for us to bring her right in for an emergency c-section. Dr. Sunbury did such a thorough evaluation of her beforehand, and determined she was too sick, and needed a blood transfusion. He was honest with us and did not want to put her life at risk by performing surgery. He spent SO much time calling every emergency hospital within a 2 hour radius, to find someone who had the resources and skills she needed to get this done ASAP. He was kind, and explained every test he ran and what the results meant. You could tell he truly cared about our dog. I’ve never had such a wonderful experience with a vet during such a difficult time. We had 3 puppies already birthed that we did not know how to care for because we have never been in this situation. Him and his staff sent us on our way to the emergency vet with formula, a bottle, and instructions on how to care for the puppies. They made sure the triage staff down in Louisville were prepared for our arrival, so they could get our dog in as quickly as possible. The staff were equally as helpful and friendly, and we felt so blessed that we brought our dog there to be evaluated! By far the best veterinarian experience we have ever had, and we could not recommend them enough. Thank you God for Dr. Sunbury and his team at SAH!”
