Said clock worked, but it didn't. It had the wrong pendulum and rod and no wind-up key. No help when I called. I just wanted some advice.

Small shop with mostly overpriced items from a couple estates he purchased at some point. No prices marked hardly and gets offended if you offer him any less than top dollar for anything. Post hours from 10-5 Thursday Friday and 2-5 Saturday, but if you come during those house and it’s slow or you just want to browse he rushes you out to lock up and go sit in his house. Not worth going out of your way, but if you want to quickly browse then be rushed out maybe you’ll see something you have to have.

Stopped in when they were closed but no hours posted online. After allowing me to browse for a bit he rushed me out saying come back when they're open. That Friday I stopped in at 4:25pm with hrs posted being 10am-5pm. He said he didn't have time to let me pick up items we discussed previously because he was heading to church and was also rushing several other customers to come back tomorrow if they see anything they like. Most items are from a single estate he bought and nothing is marked with actual prices. Every time you ask a price he ask you to make an offer then scoffs at your number and tells you how many people would buy it for 2-3 times what you said. Hey he wants to go back to the house so he rushes you out the door.

I visited Jim's about a year ago on the reference of a friend of mine who has dealt in antiques for years. I was looking for a Barrister bookcase. I found a beautiful one that was exactly what I was looking for. My friend and I felt the price was definitely fair. I get in and out of this bookcase daily and the glass doors work well. I highly recommend this Jim's Antiques and plan to return soon to look for another item of furniture! Sherry Hiner

We stopped here on a whim. It's not too far off of the interstate. It's essentially someone's estate and the pole barn on the property has antiques for sale. The gentleman was very nice. It's mostly antique furniture, so just wasn't our cup of tea. It was very clean and well maintained. If you like furniture I would recommend stopping here. It's not too big, so we were in and out in 15-20 minutes max.

This place has different hours depending on how busy they are and how the weather is outside, ha. They have several pole barn building full of various antiques and odd n ends type items. Friendly helpful service, prices seemed about average for these types of items, but you can always haggle with them too for a better deal. Located 1 exit past Shelbyville, just off the I74 interstate, easy to get too and plenty of large truck parking.

Jim and Judy are wonderful people and great to work with whatever they tell you you can trust to be the truth. Not all of us are very knowledgeable when it comes to antiques and you have to have somebody that you can trust.
