Every time I've come in, the staff was polite, and I was in and out in a few minutes. Parking can be a pain if it's busy, but that's not their fault.

This is by far the worst postal service. I’ve ever seen! Lost mail weird employees who don’t wanna check, they deserve 0 stars in my book should be shut down for the lack of etiquette and dignity

Staff are not helpful, our mail holds are regularly lost and the lobby should be available for picking up mail outside of business hours. I don't know how much more this P.O. could do to keep me from my mail. Wish I could use their competitors.

I never have had this many issues with mail service..they seem to be deliberately not picking up our outgoing mail. I've called and I've taken the mail in to the office and spoke with them and was told they would start picking it up, they didnt so dropped it off and told them in person that it's just sitting here for days. I watched the mail man go to my neighbors and walk right past my home unfortunately I wasn't able to get out of the door fast enough to catch them. I was going to call in this morning but there's no point as it's yet to do me any good.

Shelbyville Indiana post office is great! People are always helpful and I’ve never had any problems.

This is the most petty and unprofessional postal office I've ever had the misery of dealing with. I moved to Shelbyville in a new construction home that didn't have a mailbox. It was like pulling teeth to get them to come flag our appropriate location for the mailbox. In the meantime, we asked how long they would hold our mail so we could pick it up and they said 10 days, yet every important piece of mail or any package was sent back the same day it arrived at the office. A couple months later, they finally flag it, around Christmas. At that specific time we were very busy and didn't have the time to install the mailbox yet, so we sent anything important in the meantime to a family members address. They had the audacity to send a condescending representative on the day before Christmas Eve to give us a deadline of when to have our mailbox installed because it was such an inconvenience to hold our mail there. That was an actual joke because, for one, you never held our mail and, two, took your sweet time to come out, when we had the time to install the mailbox in those two whole months you took to come flag it. We got the mailbox in and they find any excuse now to not deliver our mail. They put a note in our box saying they weren't delivering the mail because the box was blocked. It was not, we intentionally kept our vehicles out of the way of the mailbox because we already knew how petty they were. We've dealt with a handful of employees there and there are a couple that are very sweet and helpful, however the vast majority are so rude, unenthusiastic, and overall not pleasant to converse with. They treat people like they are an inconvenience when theyre simply expecting them to do their job. As if we, the people, filled out an application for them and forced them to work this job. You chose your occupation, so other people should not be punished because you dont like your job. They are an actual nightmare and I really wish there was an alternative to using their service.

Absolutely the worst experience possible with this location. 3 seperate times, my fiance and I have gone in there to attempt to have them tell us where we could put a mailbox. Each time they took down our info, told us they would come out later in the day. Low and behold, they have yet to contact us in any way. On top of that, they said mail would be held for 10 days, that hasn't happened since they automatically return our packages to sender within a day. They've now sent back multiple gifts and I'm beyond done.

Have been waiting on a very important package, have tracked it all the way to Shelbyville, says its out for delivery...then our mail lady never came. So I called to see if maybe they were off today and can't speak to anyone.

I've lived in Shelbyville for about a year and a half and havent made many trips, but for the most part, i have no complaints. I have dealt with 3 people on my different visits. There's a young white man and a young black lady who have been extremely nice and then there's an older white female with long wavy hair that is helpful, but does not have a nice demeanor. Luckily, i have only dealt with her once, so far. I thanked her multiple times during my interaction and never once did she say, "you're welcome". in fact, i dont even think she said "may i help you?" or greet me in anyway. Seemed like a miserable person on the inside.....I've never had a problem with parking or a very long wait....

Decided to write a review after seeing all the negative reviews. I have always had good service here. Granted, everyone has a bad day here & there, but the staff has always been friendly and helpful. It is a little slower when busy, but so are all of the other post offices I’ve been to at their busiest times. As far as parking, it’s an older building landlocked in the middle of the downtown area. Not much chance to enlarge parking. It has ample parking for what is needed most of the day. During the busier times you may have to walk a bit. For most of us, me included, we could all use a little more walking. At most you would have to walk a block & that’s not very often. So unless you are carrying a large load or are unable to walk that far because of health, enjoy the walk.
