Always find some good deals at E & S. The store is neat and service is very good. I'd like to see a scale nearer to produce that is sold by the pound. A little bummed that I couldn't find cheeses by the pound. There were specialty cheeses and 10 lb logs but none of the basics like cheddar, Colby, etc. Otherwise it's always worth the trip.

This is actually a review of the Bulk Food store. Number one thing to remember, bring cash or write a check. 2 it's no frills. But has lots of stuff that is hard to find. I didn't buy a lot today but I got the butter extract I needed for a recipe some kamut wheat berries and for heavens sake pick up egg noodles when you go. Need 25 pounds of beans? They got it. Need 2 pounds of brown rice? They got that too. Coffee, cereal, flour they have it and many to choose from. Cheese and meat are relatively new items they offer. I didn't take photos out of deference to the Amish that work there. Give yourself time when you go. And remember they are always closed on Sunday.

This was great! It was grocery shopping like I remember as a child: items typed in, bagged in paper bags, loaded on the two level cart, rolled out, and loaded into your vehicle. Outstanding!!

Many people love the ability to purchase in bulk, which is exactly what this is. Yet after visiting multiple times over the years, it appears they buy in bulk and repackage for resale based on the name brands of items. If you need bulk foods it may be worth a visit. Nothing wrong with the store but it's not one of my favorite places

Most sales are in bulk. From meat to flour or sugar and even candy. If your having a large cookout this is the place to buy. Always busy. They don't except credit cards so make sure you have cash or a check with id. Oh and make sure you check out their in store bakery.

I LOVE this store. Just remember that they only take CASH. They do have a ATM in the front of the store. They have fabulous prices. They sell meat at wholesale prices because it is local meat .. They have a lot of close out prices. All bags are placed in paper bags by people at the cash registers and then taken to your car and placed in your trunk. If you bake, this is a store you will find everything you can use.

Always a great value. Check expiration dates, though. I love shopping here. I go here as often as possible. Bring cash or check. No credit or debit cards accepted. ATM on sight.

Excellent Amish outlet store featuring grocery items of every kind! The baggers are young Amish children, polite and friendly. They carry your purchase to your car & don't expect a tip. How beautiful ? is that!

My absolute favorite place to visit when going to Shipshewana. Honestly, I would drive all the way there just to go the E&S. Best sales and items around. Make sure to try the Fry Pies or Hand Pies, they are so good!

E&S is a great bulk and discount store. Typically, the items marked "seconds" are out of date, so if you are strict about dates, make sure you check them. They also have a lunch carryout counter and ice cream counter. Bakery, meat, produce, cheese, dairy, pantry items, canning supplies, etc. all within the store. Cash or checks only, and it's closed on all religious holidays. Please be mindful that part of the Amish way of life is to not have pictures taken, so be courteous and avoid taking their photos with their faces showing.

First of all, let me say that we absolutely LOVE coming to E & S Bulk foods. We travel 90 minutes one way to go there every few weeks. The only time we had any problem was with some Maple Syrup that they sell from Borkholder Family Farms. It's in a gallon jug (sold for $41.95) and when I emptied it into an empty gallon milk jug, it was only a tiny bit over half full. I tried getting in contact with Borkholder Family Farms but couldn't.

We love this place! We like finding organic foods for cheaper prices, as well as organic baking supplies. Some herbs and spices are organic, and priced well, too. Produce is a tad pricey, but usually looks good. It's an hour's drive for us, but we enjoy making the trip, once every couple of months or so.
