Corporate or franchise ownership needs to be more involved here. This is in a food desert. Self checkout no longer exists. Turnover is too high. Inventory is never put out. It’s not the employees’ fault— this rests on owners.

This store is in serios need of a lot of things. Shelves,freezers are always empty. They need two people on the floor and two people at the registers at all times. I know it's not the employees fault as how things go here. Dollar general just really sucks at running a business

Place has the feeling that your about to be suddenly attacked by meth addicts lots of interesting people and smells get the feeling there could possibly be a drug lab nearby hordes of zombie like people milling about like roaches on a section 8 floor.

Worthless. The employee turnover is astoundingly high. Product sits in carts blocking the aisle never getting stocked. The freezer section has been completely empty for over a month. The price on the shelf and the price at checkout can vary. What few employees they have are usually hanging out outside the store smoking and talking instead of doing anything productive, and leave the store unattended.

This store goes through so many employees and it’s clear why.
I see the so called regional manager that came to “clean the store up” standing outside with other DG employees from other locations out front smoking when I’ve arrived to shop then meet someone for a FB Marketplace purchase. They are still outside cursing, gossiping, arms swinging and leaving 1 employee inside to hold the store down over 30 mins later. So unprofessional. No wonder they can’t keep good help. This isn’t how a team works and leaving your employees feeling like far less than a team member is a huge problem.

Nevermind that the restrooms and water fountain are right next to check out and not even behind and employee only door - no public restrooms. No accommodations for basic human needs = no desire spend money at your store.
