I recently visited Dollar General and was pretty disappointed by the state of the store. The coolers were almost completely empty, which was really frustrating. There were several carts scattered around the store, either filled with items waiting to be put on the shelves or just full of empty boxes. It felt like the store wasn’t being properly maintained. To make matters worse, the employees seemed more interested in hiding in the office or hanging outside smoking than actually keeping the store running smoothly. They spent a good amount of money on renovations, but it’s clear the employees aren’t putting in the effort to keep the store clean or organized. It’s really disappointing, especially when the store has so much potential. Hopefully, they can address these issues soon.

Can't even get people to work still doors locked after they suppose be open. This world.is screwed

A month ago after 10 am all employees were standing outside smoking. When I got out of my car I was told they were stoking and MAY be open later in afternoon. Today my daughter saw the sign to ask for bathroom key and when asked she was told they didn't have a restroom.

Dollar general in sunman Indiana sucks they was closed yesterday and today.i wish family dollar store didn't closed down.the dollar general store is always dirty and can't get down the aisle to get something you want or you have to more stuff to get it.

Hope I never have to go back. Smells of cigarette smoke, floor was filthy, merchandise all over the floor, boxes to unpack. I didn't stay long, didn't have what I wanted. Family dollar still better.

Called the Suman DG to confirm that this particular DG had a FedEx drop off (just because it states online doesn't mean it true!)but to no avail, I called five times within 20 minutes and there was no answer, I used to work at a DG and I know they're understaffed, so I guess it's expected not to answer the phone with being under staffed, only schedule two associates to work at a one time!
