I took my car in for an oil change and was told that my boot was torn and I needed a new one. Estimate was $583.59. I refused and said I didn't have the money. Desk clerk advised me to get a Firestone credit card. Was very pushy. I refused. Took my car to my regular mechanic to check out. There was nothing wrong with the boot. Firestone is dishonest and disreputable. I will never go there again. This was Firestone on Wabash Avenue in Terre Haute, IN.

I was able to get exactly what I wanted without any hassle. The sales rep did try to sell me on a couple of other features, but there was no pressure. I hate going to tire stores where they try to pressure and scare people into purchasing extra features and services that they many not need!

My boyfriend and I brought his car in to be looked at here because it was making an odd noise when he turned. They came back and told us it was a broken sway bar, his battery was dead and his brakes were bad. They said all of this would cost over $1200 to fix, which is ridiculous anyway. We left it and decided to deal with it later, as we were told it would be fine for a bit. Cut to 4 days later and his car is broken down on the side of the road throwing all kinda of lights and problems. We had it towed to another firestone in a different area were we were told his sway bars are fine and his serpentine belt had broken and the entire belt system failed. Not trusting this firestone anymore for A.) the insane up charging and B.) the fact they clearly have no idea what to look for or just want to scam you out of loads of money

Not sure why anyone would ever make an appointment. Dropped car off at 8AM for new tires. Wasn't finished until 5:30PM

Vehicle was not done when it was supposed to be done. I had made an appointment, dropped it off before work, after work came to pickup and they had not even started on it. Went to pick up next day and still had to wait.

The only place in town that had a tire in stock. Fast, easy service, good prices.

Went with firestine for the name, expecting to get what they tell you! Second, from the best tire, as I was corrected by the manager when I said I bought the best tires for my particular car, which was what I got when I done a google search. Bought road Hazzard all the bell and whistles when you buy them, but when you bring it for scheduled balance and rotation, they just rotated them, and unless you ask for the balance! So when I had vibrations around 60, which felt like tire out of balance, but I had just had them balanced and rotated as what they told me I would get every 5000 miles. When it was due for oil and tire rotation, I scheduled an appt and told them I had a leak in the tires I bought that I had the road hazard. They wanted me to leave it all day on a sat, my only ride. I was willing to figure it out. I figured they would reconsider and get me taken care of. No, when I explained that I've had vibration since last rotation, he said he wouldn't have time to look at it. But he would take more money to do the oil change rather than take care of warranty work, I guess? That's why I paid nearly 1,200 for my tires, no worries for 80,000 miles. So I said no, I will not spend more money unless you look at the tires, I had a leak in one and shimmy! I'll schedule another time, and left. I called next week and dropped off the following Monday at 7am. Nail in tire and didn't have another one there! Why wouldn't they have knowing they may need it for warranty. Instead, I get a call while working, telling me they can't get tire till tomorrow. I was there when they were opening. They could have gotten it in that day. I know if they would have jumped on it. Then they tell me 2 tires were out of balance as well. I expressed my frustration with being promised such superior service was informed when you bring your car in for balance and rotation you have to tell them you want the balance, they skip that to save time, if customer doesn't ask. They then suggested putting my spare on so they could have tire ready for tomorrow. I said just put the old one on it was a slow leak. They said we'll we could have you in and out if I would let them, so I just said ok. Not knowing the tire was only good for 60 miles and I had to drive 70 miles that day. So now I don't have a spare anymore either, is what I told the manager, and he had nothing to say. Very disappointed and most expensive oil change, which a bunch of recommended service that they never went over with me, which was checked that I decline. One of which is serious, wore out brakes! Whatever happened to a name you can trust. 2012 Chevy Impala, seem to still have a shimmy!

DO NOT GO HERE! Fuel Pump died on my 06 Ram on a Saturday morning. Called Firestone and was told they could look at by the end of the day. Nobody touched the vehicle until Monday afternoon, and they reported that it needed a new fuel tank, fuel lines, and a fuel pump. After more silence they told me they could not fix it but I owed 300 dollars for an “inspection fee” When taken to a reputable mechanic the fuel pump was changed and I got my vehicle back the next day. STAY AWAY FROM TERRE HAUTE FIRESTONE

My girlfriend got an oil change done there today. I walked in and asked if they charged for a tire rotation which he responded yes we do with an attitude and then said are we going to have an issue. I said well Midas does it for free, and he said well we aren’t Midas and I said clearly. Firestone does a check of everything including brakes which means they have to take the tires off anyways so rotating the tires should not be a charge considering they have to take the tires off anyways and moving tires 3 feet is not hard. They also charged her 60$ for oil, you can get the type of oil she needed for 30$ literally anywhere. I told her we are never coming back here, after the rude customer service and the horrible prices .

I have been bringing my vehicles to this specific Firestone for over 10 years. They’re my go to shop for oil changes and tires. Although they offer plenty of other service, as well. Highly recommend.

This pricing is criminal. I just want was charged $350 for an AC refill and a brake inspection. Nothing was done on the brakes..just inspected. Insane. And if I’d gotten the oil change it would have been another $110….Service: Air conditioning

Less than a week after having our car in to Firestone because of a noise I was hearing, I broke down on the side of the road due to a serpentine belt that broke because of a pulley issue they missed. We had it towed to Firestone and they fixed the serpentine belt for free, but we continued to experience issues and took it somewhere else this time. The mechanics at the new place discovered that there was also a hole in the timing cover that they attributed to the pulley problem missed by Firestone. Then, as they began to take things apart, they discovered that Firestone had left the old, broken serpentine belt inside the car, where it has been getting eaten by the engine and shedding debris throughout. We’re currently paying a fortune to try to get this fixed, all due to Firestone’s mistake. We may have to total the car, as we’re in the tens of thousands of dollars at this point. An absolute disaster that was totally avoidable if not for Firestone’s negligence.Service: Auto engine diagnostic
