Considering I’ve been to all kinds of Plato’s Closets (including many in other states and the one in Bloomington, IN) I would say this one does a great job of keeping clothes stocked and relevant to the seasons and trending styles! It’s a HUGE store compared to a lot of other ones and they give you a fair price on buying AND selling.Sometimes the group of *mostly* ladies at the front counter can be intimidating to walk into, but all of them are pretty nice and definitely helpful if you have any questions.Overall shopping here is a pleasant experience and who wouldn’t want to support thrifting? ???

So I took a 150$ pair of shoes here and got offered 15$ for them that is straight up robbery if you ask me! I will NOT be back! Do not sell here they are literally stealing from people if you ask me!!!and just a fyi you told me you only pay 20% of the actual value well then the shoes should have been worthless 30$ not 15$ so you was buying my shoes for 10% really???

I have been here a handful of times. I think from a buying perspective their are some good deals. But from a selling point of view I have not always had the best experience. I have offered clothes that were in brand new condition and been told they were not worth anything. How? And even the clothing that was very high end and without a single sign of ware, was supposedly only worth a couple dollars. I understand their a business and they need to make their money, but I think respecting the customer and not calling their clothes poor condition when there clearly not would go a long way.

Today I dropped off at 3:24pm. I brought in an overflowing box of name brand, brand new items, including 4 pairs of shoes in boxes. I own a boutique in central illinois (45 minutes away). I am rebranding so what I hadn’t sold I brought to your store just to not sit on it any longer. The top items posted on your door were sports wear - great!!! I had several pairs of athletic shorts (brand new) and several athletic tank tops and dri fit shirts. Now, I don’t expect everything to be taken. It’s a gamble I make when making the drive. However, exactly 10 minutes later I got a text saying my belongings were completed with a “full pass.”Usually I would just say wow, weird. However, your staff shrugged me off the moment I walked through the door, extremely rude to my 2 year old. So, I have to assume they just wanted to waste my time from the get go.When I picked up my items they could not even make eye contact with me. When I asked if they went through the full tote the one gal said “I am not on sorting duty” and put my stuff on the table. I also only left with 3 pairs of shoes. So, somebody got a pair of shoes while providing the horrible customer service.

They don't have one single mirror throughout the store to look at yourself in. I tried on sunglasses and the girl has to take me back to the dressing room to see how they looked.

Almost every worker there looks miserable. There was one working the fitting rooms that was super sweet, but the one that checked me out was rude. I had a $5 off coupon and was told I couldn’t use it. I also shop at once upon a child ALOT and they’ve gotten a bunch of money from me these companies are getting worse and worse.

They will pretty much harass you when checking out, they demand with an attitude for your private information.Like name/telephone number, even when paying with cash, the staff is trained to harass you for your private info!

The employees were absolutely rude and awful. They were mad that we had brought in two bags to look through but that's their job. Also talking behind customers backs, is going to get you no business at all. This staff needs to be changed.

Didn't have what I was looking for. I noticed now they are way more expensive than a long time ago. I understand prices increase but damn thrift store shouldn't be too expensive. I seen stuff in that store. $40-50.00 USED let me add not brand new whatsoever.

Ok. Do not come in around 5pm with your gently used items that are badass because the store manager is leaving at that time. You get the text and come on in to find that your ‘Champion/Nike/Chanel is worth only $27Ofcourse I asked for the Chanel back and I received $22The girls keep the good stuff and pay the customers the bare minimum.Keep an eye on how the girls smirk because your stuff is already in their car

Awful experience at this store last week I took a tote full of name brand clothes nothing wrong with them some still with tags and they didn’t look through it at all. I also took a big of shoes last week mostly brand new and some worn once and they didn’t even touch it either. Lazy workers that just stood there while we were waiting to be taken care of. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a Plato’s, you might as well make the drive to Lafayette Plato’s where they actually care about their costumers and they actually make an effort to go through what you bring in. If I could give this store 0 stars I would’ve.
