I live close to this location, have seen a lot of managers and employees through there. I love the staff that is there now, with the exception of the young man at night. He talks too much about things he shouldn’t talk about. I have stood in line and watched others get extremely irritated with him, seems like he cares about nothing but talking, about all of his medical problems. Feels burdensome standing in line. The girls are amazing there. They work hard, and long hours. Always friendly

Older cashier hates her job and life in general. This then translates in poor customer service. If life is really that miserable, than maybe it's time to retire.

Cashier was nice. BUT alot of food items are expired! Like 6 months out of date. So now i have to make a return because I didn't notice it til i got home. They dont enforce mask policies here either. So some people may like that. But no one likes expired groceries so check expiration dates !!!

One of the more modern dollar general stores in the area, this one is of quality. As clean and organized as company payroll allows, with friendly staff.

Half of the expectation when I walk into a store is a pleasant customer service experience. This is created by friendly and readily available cashiers, stock persons and managers. The other half of my expectation is the environment. This is created by how safe I feel (security and cleaniliness) when I walk into the store, walk around inside the store, check-out and when I walk back outside to my car. This store was not a clean looking store due to the fact that it was an older building. But I never felt unsafe. When I walked into the store, I noticed a cashier (woman) checking-out a customer. I went to find my desired item and made eye-contact with other store clerks in the aisle who were busy talking amongst themselves quietly and reshelving inventory. I was not acknowledged in any way. I was wearing a mask as well as each of the employees so I didn't find this unresponsiveness to be offending as our nation is learning a new form of respectful etiquette when wearing masks. I found my item and went to get in line to check out. There were no other customers waiting so I walked to the available register and found the counter was left empty. I walked up and down politely looking around for the cashier. I waited by the register again for over a minute. I then began to look up and down the aisles. I saw only two stock people but neither ever acknowledged my waiting or gazes in their direction for assistance. I waited again by the register. After repeating this gesture a few more times and waiting for nearly 8 minutes, the cashier finally came out from somewhere and rang me up. She never acknowledged my time waiting, ask if I had been waiting, or say hello. She rang up the item correctly and gave me back the correct amount. But she never offered any sort of greeting, or a "thank you for shopping Dollar General" or even finish the transaction with a polite closing. I offered a thank you to her when she handed me my bagged item and she acknowledged it with an "uh huh." I headed out to the vehicle after the transaction. My entire visit in the store was 10 minutes. It should have only been 3-4 mins. If I need an item for an emergency, I'd stop again. If I lived nearby, I would most definitely choose a different store to shop. I just wanted to give the facts, not an exaggerated reaction. The store had the item I needed, the purchase was performed accurately, I never felt unsafe. Just was dissappointed in the customer service that day.
