Literally ended up here 3 times in the last week with my dad while putting in this year's garden. They've actually got some pretty great plant options this year, and I love all the succulents. For once there actually haven't been many employees that I've seen though. The price of some of the tomato plants are a bit steep.

Every time I go to this store they are cluttered with poor products, especially the plants. There are other Home Depot I like but I don't plan on returning to this one. The worst part...not only is Home Depot forcing veterans to go digital to get their hard earned and we'll deserved discount, but the snotty young girl who "helped" me today said "ok I'll give you the discount just this once, but you need to try to do it online again ok?" She said it to me like I was a 5 yr old child and I'm pretty sure I have kids older than her! I'm not good with electronics so lol probably never go online to try again but I certainly don't need to be talked down to. I'll go to Menards from now on.

I must go to Home Depot in Valpo at least twice weekly--the staff is tremendous. The store is always clean. Cesar is outstanding. He is energetic, knowledgeable and friendly. This is why I have no hesitation being a customer over and over and over. Thank you.

Bought a sliding glass door, installed it. Put the key in the lock, key wouldn’t come out because the lock is broken. Can they fix the lock or give me a new door handle? You know they can’t-so I have to take the whole door all the way back out again-so I can get a new door with a functioning lock. Now, between the price of spray foam and drywall and my time and such, that may cost me more than just buying a new door handle-but I’m just petty enough to do it. It sucks because we basically have the choice of Menards with their crap tools and crooked lumber or Home Depot with their absolute lack of concern or care for their customers…

This location discriminated against my disabled mother and heir delivery service refused to deliver and work around a medical stairlift. When we reached out to customer service, we were told that they only use one delivery contractor and we have no clear answer for how to move forward. Sure would’ve been nice to know they wouldn’t work with handicap accessibility before we ordered November 29th and waited 2 months for NON-delivery. Great job.

If you need appliances, for your sanity, do not order from here. We ordered in July. Was told they’d be in September 3rd. Perfect. Got a call that they were being pushed back to October 1st. Okay, I can be patient. Another call, pushed back to November. Called, got a million excuses as to why they weren’t in and the different things on back order. Nobody’s stories were the same. Went in to the store, had great help from the associate and his manager. Fixed the issue, appliances will be in October 29th. Only 2 of my 6 ordered arrived, although they were all supposed to be in the warehouse. Feeling pretty frustrated as we ordered 4 months ago, I can’t cook, have cold food, or even wash my clothes. I understand shortages and low staffing is causing everyone difficulties, but a little transparency would’ve been great. Each call we received about them being pushed back was only 2 days prior to delivery. I’d also like to add that what we ordered in July, was never guaranteed to come because things were “on back order of potentially not returning to stock.” So why are we ordering things that may never come in? Then I’m waiting on delivery forever because nobody called to discuss what wouldn’t be back in stock. I had to call and get that figured out myself.

Do not waste your time nor money on flooring here. Once they have your money and the job is messed up they do not care about you. Purchased carpeting a second time against my better judgement. Installer was late and did not communicate timely, job ran until 9:25pm. Explained at the time of the order we do not want this to happen, but no one cared. Lost an entire day of work that was unnecessary since we could have gone to work that day and been home, if there was communication. Now stairs are messed up and we have to work around their schedule to correct them. All around bad experience!

Our company Regal Building Contractors average Spending is in between 400,000 & 500,000. We keep coming back year after year! Only because you will never find the same out standing customer service for your business and or personal needs anywhere else that compares to The Home Depot !

Very unprofessional. They take your money and don’t come through with their side of the deal. 8-14 days must be what’s pounded in their heads because that’s all they can say. I can’t tell you how manny times I was blown off. And don’t try calling cooperate unless you wanna spend 15 minutes pressing buttons to a recording.

I went to Home Depot in Valparaiso today (6-9-21) to purchase some pvc pieces and some tomato plants. I don’t usually shop there and now I don’t know why I never have! There were several very nice employees to help direct me and help me with my purchases! I was also happy to seeing non-masked smiling faces from employees and shoppers! I will be visiting this Home Depot often from now on; I was very impressed! Thanks to the nice gentlemen in plumbing and to the sweet gals in the garden area!

It is really sad when one of your employees seems to not care about anything. If someone comes with blood dripping from their hand, to ask if you have a paper towel and your only response is “no” and walk away. He really could of said hold on, let me what I can do. Poor customer service and things are hard to find. I hope the guy who did this never needs help in a store and someone treats him like this. Won’t be coming back here for nothing!
