“I started out in shelter care in 1999 and then was placed in foster care and unfortunately ended back in shelter care waiting to be placed in residential. I was in cottage 9 with the Robbins and Miss Lee. This was one of the best times of youth. At first if you would have asked me about it I would have said I hated it but now that I’m older and wiser it instilled a lot into my core values. I reminisce about Miss Chickens dehydrated bananas, Soul Food Sunday dinner with the Robbins. Being so excited when we got fruit pizza in the cafeteria, learning to trim trees, running track, and making candles. Canteen days were one of my favorites. Overall being a CHINS kid and being in different placements WHITES is the one that made the biggest impact and difference in my life. I wish I still had my yearbook 😞”

“Events held at the Honeywell house are always so classy. It's a great place to host any function of moderate size, whether it's a graduation party, wedding reception, or one of the many small musical performances or educational presentations. The is plenty of parking and the outdoor setting is beautiful as well.”
