This review has been a long time coming - it is especially hard to write because this was - once upon a time - a wonderful place to take our cats. Now, their fealty to COVID has ruined everything they do. We had taken our cats to Blair and even boarded them at the kennel. We knew from experience that one of them would need some TLC with us in the room. This summer "because of COVID", the staff was not allowing anyone into the facility. Instead of making the process transparent, the clinic never informed us of any changes to procedures when we scheduled our boarding. That was problematic, and we were annoyed. The practice management certainly had time since February to realize they had changed things and to make those changes transparent. NOT BLAIR!! After the boarding incident, we spoke with the owner who was concerned with our attitude. I explained that they should have been clearer since things were different. I also mentioned that calling their desk when we got there was problematic when they didn't answer. The head person said she understood and would make changes. Fast-forward to this morning. I was short on availability and wanted to drop off my girl cat for her check-up. When I arrived at 11:00 (on time), the staff were not available by phone any of the 3 times I called. I let one of the staffer know (she was outside) that I was there for the scheduled appointment, and that the desk was not answering the phone. She said she would let them know. About 10 minutes later, one of the "supervisors" - who also came outside to take someone's check - let me know an assistant would be out shortly. Knowing I only had until 11:30 available, I waited. When the assistant came out at 11:15, he asked some questions and expected me to wait. I asked how long it would take - he replied, "About 10 minutes". I said, "Well I have to go." After a little back and forth, the assistant started giving me grief because I couldn't wait. He had no idea that my scheduled phone call was worth $1250 or that we had pre-paid for the visit. There was never any clarity that I would have to stay and no understanding by him of what was on the line for me. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. I have to say, the entire medical community needs to take a long, hard look at how they are treating patients as well as the family of patients. When performing healthcare, one must be sure to focus on the care aspect as much as the medical process. Encountering a rude person in a medical facility is the last thing anyone wants to face. For those who don't understand that, I will continue to remove my dollars from their facilities. When there is no money coming in, maybe THEN they will look harder at how they treat people. I really hope the people at Blair Animal Clinic take the time to read this.

Dr. Banker, Dr. Alphonso, and Dr. Shirley have all treated my dogs and Cat. I can say without a doubt that I would trust all of them. Jim the Vet tech is nothing short of amazing and my dogs LOVE him. Even when he has to hold them down for things they don't like. He clearly loves animals and is very thorough. We take our young dog to playgroups, and it has made an amazing difference in him. We also really appreciate having access to the private dog park. Boarding and grooming are good as well, although I prefer not to board our dogs but have a sitter when we travel. They may be a bit more expensive than other vets in town but it is worth it in my opinion

Blair animal clinic has been amazing with all my fur babies! The staff is so nice and respectful. Even during the pandemic they’ve given me nothing but great service! Nexus and Boots loved their care and I can’t wait to bring the rest of my fur babies!

The staff is sweet and caring. Dr Gerbolini answered all my questions and was great with my puppy. They offer a lot of other services at affordable pricing.

My daughter had to have her cat euthanized last week. She was extremely heart broken having to make that decision. She expressed to them she wanted a private cremation, as she wanted to be able to bring her back home. Well she called last week because she had not heard anything as they explained it would take a couple of days. She was told once again it could be another couple days. Today when she called in they apologized and stated they had messed up and she would not get the remains back. That her cat had been cremated with a group. Incompetent employees is all I can say. I’m not sure how my daughter will get her closure now, as she was hoping to bring her back home.

We have used other vet services in the area but for the past 15 years we have used Blair Animal Clinic. Every experience we have had has been a positive one. Each employee has shown empathy and genuine love for our beloved furry family members. They go above and beyond standard care. Any questions I have had they have answered or gotten the answer and called me back. They even helped us get Rx and instructions for illness while we are traveling this weekend. If you aren't happy with your service, all you must do is let Dr. Banker know. She is passionate about what she does. As for Klondike Kennels, their obedience training is top notch. I have not used their grooming but I understand they are newly restaffed. As with any service, clarify fees up front when booking your appt. I trust these folks implicitly.
