I called to place an appointment, and the guy who answered rushed off the phone before I could ask any questions, didn't get a quote, no important information he told me to "just drop it off in the morning, see you then" and hung up.

Terrible experience for car maintenance.No oil change option, if you wanna do that, you must choose the ‘maintenance package’ and it costs me almost 100 dollars. So bad!!!!!And the worker just did the oil change and tire rotation for about 6 hours, can you believe it? Because he has to answer the phone call and customer walk in even though he is busy with my car.Definitely won’t come again.

The customer service in this place is amazing. They did a good job to accommodate me short notice and resolved my problem quickly and at a reasonable cost. Karlen at the front desk is very friendly. He explained the repairs that were done to the car and talked through the options that I have going forward. If you are in Lafayette I definitely recommend giving them a chance.

On the phone people sounded very nice so I decided to go with them to change my car breaks. However, I was disappointed with their professionalism. I do not question their mechanical skills cause I don’t not know it, because my car breaks we’re not changed 2 times I dropped my car for 7 hrs each day. Both days made an appointment and explained why I need my car to be in the shop for certain time frame. They did not call a single time to give me an update, each time I had to call and ask if they got the chance to work on my car. If you could not have a time to work on it at least call and say so. Not everyone have luxury of leaving a car at the shop for days. I do not know what is the priority to work on a car but definitely not appointment system.

I called asking if they could rotate my tires (after another local place changed my oil and couldn’t rotate the tires). Mark and manager, Karlen were both incredible! Great prices and amazing, personalized, above-and-beyond care to assure our satisfaction and quality work. We were taking my brother to Purdue for move in and had a flat car while un-loading. Went to Car-X and they got us right in, repaired two tires, and sent us on our way within an hour to continue with move in. I dropped my truck off to get brakes changed at 8 AM. They told me would be done at 12. I called at 12 and they said it needed spark plugs and coils, which I didn’t want. I told them to just do brakes. They said would be done in 2 hours. I called back at 4:00 and they said would be done in an hour. I went back at 5:00 and nothing was done. They had the truck all day and did nothing to the brakes. Extremely frustrating to get rides to and from, nothing done.Service: Brakes

For two times in a row I dropped off my car in the morning, waited for the whole day, only to be told in the late evening the mechanics were too busy to even touch my car. During the first visit my car just didn’t get any service and I had to pick it up at 7pm. In the more recent visit, Karlin was actually nice to work extra hours after the shop closed to take a look at my car. We agreed I would pick up my car the next morning with the tires rotated. But when I picked up my car I was disappointed to see my tires incorrectly rotated. Those were new tires with warranty, going through their first rotation, and they are supposed to be rotated as prescribed by the owner’s manual (front wheels to the back, back wheels swap sides and go to the front). Whoever did the tire rotations just went completely off the books and only swapped the front and rear wheels, on one side only! The other side was unchanged.I wasn’t charged a buck for the second visit, but still disappointed. It’s not about money but professionalism! When I send my car to carx I expect to receive professional service better than a DIY job. If the mechanic thinks an unorthodox way to rotate tires fits better for my car, at least call me to get my permission! But nobody tell me. I didn’t know what happened to my car until I inspect the tires myself.Karlin offered to remedy the improper tire rotation for free but we couldn’t reach an agreement on the time. The problem is the shop is too busy to offer a drive-thru kind of job unless I come very early in the morning which is very inconvenient.How hard can I blame when they didn’t even charge me? But it just makes a seemingly simple routine very unpleasant and overly complicated. The mechanics and manager are surely knowledgeable and helpful, but clearly oversubscribed. I just don’t think I’ll send my car here for services. For me, the trouble out-weighted what it’s worth.
