Busy day today, getting into lumber yard took a while. Of course all the lumber I needed was on the upper deck.
Suggest Menards get guest wifi or cell booster inside. I often put items I need in Menards app, then have issue opening app in the store, where I need it most. Generally West Lafayette, Verizon service.

I generally enjoy shopping here. pricing is great and the staff is always kind and helpful.
What I don't like is that I can't find the item from time to time. I sometimes check their website to see which aisle the items are in before actually shopping at the store. The website's stock info and location is reliable, but sometimes Menards places the items not only in the aisle they should belong to, but also in spots not indicated on the website (such as endcaps or near the cashier). The website only shows the aisle where the item originally belongs, so if it's placed on an endcap, the website won’t suggest that, even though it still shows how many are in stock.
Today, I came in to buy caulk. The website showed there were 40 in stock, but when I checked the listed aisle, there were none. I searched nearby areas and endcaps, and even asked staff for help, but they could not locate the caulk.
This wasn’t the first time I experienced this. Another time, the staff were able to find the item at a very far endcap, but sometimes, like today they couldn’t find it at all.
It’s a bit frustrating to not find the item and go home empty-handed, knowing that plenty are in stock. They are just placed in a different area!

In a world where you get what you pay for; Menards is cheaper and other big chain hardware/ hone improvement stores for the most part. That the thing, their cheaper on price but that seems to on the quality side as well.

Did you all know "Menards is mainly a self-serve store".? I was told this repeatedly, in the self-serve lumber yard after ordering & paying online. BTW what store do you recommend? Home Depot? Lowes?

Great store. Spent 250$ on wrong lumber, worse really was the 2.5hrs wasted.

One of the nicer Menards, they often have items other stores don't and there are always sales. Rebates are in the form of merchandise credit, so once you start, ole' John's gotcha. ;)

What a great store. Everything you want and then some compared to your big box home improvement stores with more items and some great prices as well as the 11% rebate you get back after mail in. It has become the 1st place I go to upon arrival at our son’s house lol.
