As of March 2023 they are still requiring masks to enter. Their choice to run their business as they like. My choice to just not go in.

Cool store, lots of options from records to comics to clothes. Hipster vibe, which I enjoy but may not be for everyone.

How could you not love Von's? The place has everything, and has been a Purdue staple for decades. Make the time to stop there whenever you're in town. Books, comics, music, fashion, jewelry. It's the best.

This is a destination spot. They have an enormous amount of CDs. They are a bit difficult to navigate though because of there are a lot of boxes of vinyl on the floor and those not blocked by boxes are blocked by the new vinyl racks that go out a little further. Really have to crane my neck and stretch my body into uncomfortable positions to see what they have, but oh man do they have a lot. I always come out of there with a stack of CDs, very fairly priced. The vinyl selection is very well set up so if you're there for vinyl it's a lot easier to navigate. The 7" section is where you find the real gems. I've found the vinyl to be pretty fairly priced and usually pick up an album or two while I'm there. Worth a drive absolutely.

UNIQUE AWESOME PLACE! Used to be 5/5-STAR, but has definitely gotten CHEAPER (All items are now CHEAP / Inexpensive quality), so now only a 4-Star, and unfortunately going down hill.I Pray they AMP up their products again, but it's rare to see this -- usually once a place goes down hill, it further goes down hill. PS- The "hidden" (in a bookshelf) bathroom STINKS / REEKS -- ALWAYS HAS.Other than the quality going down hill, this place has a lot of cool stuff

You can find a great deal of books, I doubt you would have any trouble. The record selection is a bit limited but you can still find some good things. They have a variety of clothing items, posters, comics, etc. It is a great place to spend an afternoon just looking through stuff and reading. I wish the staff was more helpful but it's a pretty big store.

Mask required! That was a welcoming sign that they actually enforce it to. They will sellbyou a mask for 2 bucks if you dont have one.

Von's is a staple of Purdue Campus and everyone should go at least once. They participate in Record Store Day which is dope since there are very few record stores in Lafayette.

This Bookshop has so much to offer but be prepared if you're claustrophobic you might be a little anxious. But it is a must place to visit and Shop if you've never been here before nothing like it anywhere else in the United States

I'm going to officially vote this as the best record store in the Lafayette area. They are super heavily focused on new vinyl only, but the selection is pretty good and includes many new styles, as well as typical classic rock, blues/jazz, classical, hip-hop, etc. In the back on the floor are a small selection of used vinyl, though it's a tiny selection with not much to pick from. As someone who likes picking through vinyl for a good deal, I was super pleased to find the many bins of Clearance Vinyl along the floor under the main shelves of records. There is a ton of "old stock" new vinyl under there, many that have been marked down to well under $10. I'm really into mid 2000s vinyl and I found a good chunk of things I've been looking for down there, still sealed, waiting over a decade for me to pick through it. Stop by and give the place a look. You'll hopefully find something worth stopping by for. And while you're in, check out the insane selection of other things. The overall shop is a mixture of a head shop, record shop, bookstore, novelty store, jewelry store, and comic book store, and it seems to go on forever. A very unique and cool addition that any smaller college town would be immensely jealous of!
