Cars are consistently broken or without fuel, service is slow, and if you need answers to literally any customer service question you're out of luck. The staff is consistently rude and often can't figure out how to properly rent or return cars. In one thrilling experience, an associate locked themselves out of the rental booth and had to climb through a window to get keys, delaying a rental by a full hour. They also mysteriously placed me on a no-rent list with no explanation as to why, leaving me stranded. For context, I rent cars weekly from Hertz typically with no issues. Rent from literally anywhere else if you want to get to your destination in a timely fashion.

They will give away the car you reserve and pay for to a walk-in if you're late for your reservation. Corporate policy is to hold the car for 24 hours, but this location has "their own policies". The manager was literally scared of me and wouldn't speak to me, LOL. Got a car right down the street at Avis for $67 same day (hertz was $173) and the customer service was 1,000,000 times better !

Honestly always have a good experience renting from here. Cars are usually new or super clean. But what sets this place apart compared to the others is the people. The customer service here is exceptional. They are really nice and helpful - even when they get a flood of people. I can't recommend this Hertz enough solely because of the kind and helpful employees that work here.

This is definitely a YMMV location. For us we were super lucky. We needed a car for a trip to Westchester. Walked over and picked up the car. It was washed on the outside h it was clean on the inside. Really important during COVID. Did our trip. Returned the car and they were very nice. Saved a bunch of time va taking the train and no overnight parking charges!

SAVE YOURSELF! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION! I reserved a full size car for my family of 5, stopped in a day early to ask that they please make sure we have the right size car. When I show up for my reservation the agent gives us a small SUV(Nissan Rogue) and tells me that if I want anything else I will have to pay extra. The car has 51,000 miles on it, windshield wipers are old, A/C doesn't work and the car fogged so badly in the rain that It was dangerous. Arrogant and rude. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE

This review is specifically relating to the customer service provided by Irene. She is extremely empathetic and thoughtful. Provided excellent service. I wish all employees at car rental places were as competent and helpful as Irene!

AVOID AT ALL COST OR IT WILL END UP COSTING YOU.... LITERALLY.. You might say to yourself as I did when I read the Yelp reviews about this location; "people exaggerate, they might have experienced an isolated negative incident, what are the odds that it will happen to me?" Well, let me tell you... You're going to get screwed! Not only was I given a dirty older car with a spiderweb on the dashboard, it had over 40k miles on it and started to vibrate at 65mph. But the real problem was when I returned the car. I handed the keys to the attendant who inspected the vehicle and said everything was in order and sent me my receipt.. Simple enough. I decided I wouldn't bother complaining about the fact that the car was old, dirty and vibrated. An hour later I received an email from the location manager advising me that they had billed my credit card $100 to clean the car due to the presence of pet hair. He attached to the email a fabricated, second "receipt" falsely stating that I had "ACCEPTED" the $100 fee. But at no time did I accept any fee. Nor did the rental contract provide that a fee would be charged if pet hair was found in the car. TO BE CLEAR, we are talking about a two minute or less vacuuming job. And if they had told me of any problem upon return and inspection, I would have gotten my handheld vacuum and cleaned it myself rather than pay a ridiculous $100 fee. I immediately responded to the manager's email but got no response, and the next day escalated my complaint to upper management. Just today, a week after the fee was charged, I got an email from Kristen Walsh in Hertz Executive Customer Service, that went on at length to explain why they were declining to refund the fee, or any portion of it. Even though she admitted that cars are "cleaned and serviced" between rentals, customers are charged if the cleaning "requires more than hertz's standard cleaning" (without defining what "standard cleaning" means) for the "costs actually incurred" to clean the vehicle (despite the fact that costs actually incurred would be the cost of a 2 minute vacuuming, which is not $100 by any stretch of the imagination). Not only was I offended by Kristen's illogical explanation, but I was shocked to see her--and apparently Hertz's--appalling lack of concern at this act of theft by the company's employees. Maybe most disturbing is the fact that Hertz appears to have spent more resources "investigating" the situation and having Kristen cook up a long winded, contrived and transparent cover for the theft than they would have had to expend by just refunding the fee. Apparently, the "cost" of a 2-minute vacuum job is worth more to Hertz than losing a customer's business forever. Or maybe screwing customers with bogus $100 fees is their actual business model. Either way, do yourself a favor and NEVER patronize this business!

Awful. Waited in line for 45 minutes just to return a car, and the one woman working (one woman!) didn't have her mask up. Come on, Hertz.

Atrocious. Dont expect to get anything back if you forget it in the car. Left an expensive pair of sunglasses and could not have been met with more unhelpful staff that was unwilling to lift a finger. Extremely off-put, save yourselves the experience

Standard car rental agency and location. The representative is thorough, informative, efficient and provides return instructions. They also offer alternative vehicles and upgrades which is a plus, always nice to know your options.

Don't waste your time renting a car from this thoughtless uncaring company. Due to travel restrictions and mandatory quarentine I had to cancel my trip from NY to Nevada. Restrictions were put in place after I booked. Canceled my reservation and they charged me $100. Called twice, wasted an hour on the phone and they won't give me my money back. Will never rent another car from them or their affiliates. Garbage company who treats customers like crap. Asked to speak to a supervisor was told I would be wasting my time because they won't give me my money back.

First, this is not about the counter people or the guys who handle the cars, who are great. It's about the manager and Hertz customer service. I'm a 5 star loyalty member.Last week I rented a Chevy Tahoe mid-week for $200. That date was during the BLM protests in NYC. When I picked it up, there was a posted sign that because of the protests, they'd be closing early at 8:00 p.m.Because I did not want to be responsible for the car overnight I rushed back to the location, arriving before 7:30. After I picked up the car that morning they decided to close at 6. The location is in a garage with an arrangement that if you return after Hertz closes, they will hold the car overnight for $25. I paid the $25. The next day I called Hertz about refunding the $25. I relied on their posted sign. They sent me to the manager. The manager refused. I went back to Hertz, who said that they wouldn't overrule the manager. This is petty and shortsighted. I'll use up my thousands of Hertz miles for free rentals, but when I have to pay I'll stroll down the street to Avis for the same prices and better service.

I called this location multiple times to confirm that my very important mini van was there for my move. No one ever picked up. I arrived at my appointment time (Sunday morning) and the lone employee was chatting away on the phone with a friend. Of course my rental wasn't there, and when I noted that I tried to call to confirm, she noted what hours they are open. I told her I called during operating hours, and she just shrugged. She got on the phone to find out where my rental was, and told me I should come back in an hour. I had a 10 hour drive ahead of me and had little faith that my rental would show up, let alone in an hour. Thankfully there was a a pick up truck available. She simply handed me my receipt and that was it.

Had to cancel my car reservation due to Coronavirus. Company would not waive the $50 fee even though there is an international pandemic. Won't ever rent from Hertz again.

Honestly very confused by the reviews left here. I had an AWESOME and very GREAT experience with the people at this location. They were all very informative and even gave me a new BMW. I had to extend it by 2 hours due to traffic and they were more than kind to help me with that. I used to be a Silvercar only rental but now I'm definitely a Hertz customer! Super happy and satisfied.
