If I could give 0 stars, I would, nothing but run around since our mortgage was sold to them. Got a cancelation notice from my home insurance that my bill hasn't been paid. We are on escrow!! Update even after calling, they still sent off payment later than told me, Insurance was due 11/14. My insurer received a payment on the day of cancelation 11/27. If you want a circus run by monkeys, I nominate Carington Morgage Company! Wonder if I will have the same problem come tax season......Now they send me an email to help resolve the issue because I gave a bad review. ?

If I could leave a negative 5 stars I would. Our mortgage broker ( Trent Mosier) along with his assistant lied multiple times to us about several things. He ran my credit so many times that it seriously lowered my score. I was told my payment would be 1 amount and at closing after selling my previous home my p ayment doubled. I was trying to ask questions and was told ( I am on vacation, I will deal with it when I get back. To top things off, they didn't notify us for 20 days that our payment never posted so now not only is it late, but we get to pay an additional fee for there lack of communication. I wish I would have found a different mortgage broker and mortgage company.Sincerely one unhappy customer

Foreclosed on Veterans due to COVID economy when they were supposed to move it to the end of their loan. More like enemy of Veterans than a help.

If I could give zero stars I would. Recently our mortgage was bought buy Carrington from Ruoff. We never had any problems with Ruoff, but for some reason this company won't pay our insurance premium leading to getting it canceled. Our insurance lady has called and talked to people and for some reason the premium is still not getting paid. This is a major problem. Are they keeping our money or what, because the premium is being paid in our mortgage. This place has to be scam.

Run as fast as you can! All their canned responses to negative reviews - call our customer service, will get you nowhere! I’ve been calling every day for the last week, sometimes more than once a day and continue to get the run around!! Sent requested paperwork several times and still no resolution. Do whatever you can not to have your mortgage with this company!!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Avoid at all costs especially Leslie White (Pipeline Manager), Lori May (Senior Loan Processor) and Jennifer Hughes. They left our file unattended and did nothing for 2 months in which they responded they still needed documentation from us which we had already provided in their portal months earlier. It was then pulling teeth - constantly following up for them and them requesting information that was already provided. This place is a joke. Use someone else!

If I could give -1 star I would. Carrington assumed my mortgage and since then I have had nothing but problems. They didn't apply my monthly payments correctly and over the course of 2 months I spoke with multiple CSR as they kept calling because it looked like our account was delinquent. Every time I talked to someone I explained that they applied our payments wrong and they saw and confirmed "oh yea I see that now, we are still working on fixing it"Couple weeks later I get a certified letter of intent to foreclose. I called them the next time their offices were open and spent an hour on the phone with a CSR explaining my payments from the previous months and how they applied my payments wrong. Somehow she seemed to understand what I was saying but still insisted I owed money. After being on hold for awhile it appears she finally figured it out and got our account straightened out and the funds applied correctly after 2 months of dealing with this.

Carrington Mortgage recently assumed our loan and has been nothing less than a headache. Let's see where do I start, Mortgage payment increased with no written or CSR explanation. Web site constantly down, wait on hold for minutes (half hour) on end the list goes on and on. I can only pray they sell back to someone with more competency and the technology the customers would expect. If this is your originating lender best of luck, to the rest of us I guess we suffer together with this joke.

My loan was sold to Carrington and I haven’t spoken with a single pleasant, professional, competent person within that company. Avoid this company if you can.

If I could give negative reviews I would. They bought my loan out and went under forbearance and instead of tacking on the end of the loan like they said… they tacked on 40K to my loan.. had to short sell the house, purchased my home for 219K had a payoff of 212K they kept everything… I hope your company burns to the ground and you all get nothing

I was just picked up by this mortgage company from a very nice one I had and after reading these horrible reviews I am terrified to deal with Carrington Mortgage. I haven't made my first payment and I'm already trying to figure out a way to get away from Carrington. Someone help. I will take any suggestions to get away from Carrington.

Carrington bought our loan a month ago right after we had water damage from a washer. Insurance cut us a check but with carringtons name on the check and no instructions.After deposit the check was out on hold and carrington will not let it release without the original check which the bank doesn’t have.My wife and family are living on a concrete floor right now because of carrington.They do not care about their customers and there is currently no end in sight.

I don’t know what the issue is with this company but every time I have called. The customer service reps are extremely rude. They act like I’m a bother to them because I have asked questions to things that I don’t understand. They are difficult to get answers out of and unwilling to help. Unfortunately, they bought out my loan from another company and I really wish it never changed hands.

Worst customer service of a mortgage company. Ignores emails and poorly set up phone tree regularly goes straight to voicemail or agents hang up on the call.
