Rude, complained about my packaging and made me repackage it despite the fact that it was an unopened package that they had allowed to be shipped to me (I was returning it) choose to drive to the next post over rather than dealing with them

I am impressed with this office! It was a very pleasant experience. Passport application appointment went well. The postal clerk was friendly and efficient! The whole process was fast and problem free. Be nice to our fantastic federal civil servants, especially during the nonsense that is going on in our government right now. Skip the lines at other offices that may be closer to your location. Enjoy a visit to the quaint downtown of Whiting Indiana and this old fashioned Post Office.

I was pleasantly surprised by this location . Really sweet, kind, and patient employees. Prompt passport service too. I appreciate the clerk catching an error on my form and having me correct it. Would not mind visiting this location again rather than going to the loop for mailing. Thanks for all that you do!

I showed up this morning at the post office to get my photo taken for passport and was told by front desk staff that the lady isn’t in and won’t be available until next week. I then received a call from the individual who does the passports who told me I need to reschedule.

There's a box on the front of my house for mail and packages but instead I received a ripped up missed delivery formThe same package from the same shipper arrives every month but this time they refuse to just put it in the box specifically used for that purposeMy mail carrier is a moron

First time filling customs form, rushed to finish as they were closing soon. Asked if the form was filled correctly, Mexican lady skimmed over it, said it's fine and sends it off. I receive the package back, staff clearly doesn't know how to do her job & i wasn't compensated for postage as it was technically already “shipped” (returned to sender ?) paid for awful service and incompetent staff DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE !

Cindy is an awesome post office employee. Always pleasant & patient. She is the best employee at this location.Her supervisor (name? ) is condesending and grouchy.Plenty of parking in ftont of this USPS building.

Black make supervisor/postmaster was discourteous and unprofessional. Refused service to the public that he serves. Ignorant of the content of the USPS Poster 7 which states the rules and regulations regarding the post office. Refused to even take the time to read it. Used profanity when speaking to the individuals there to buy a stamped envelope. Completely ignorant power tripper closed early and refuse service to anyone wishing to use the Whiting, Indiana post office. Should be fired!

Read this - Middle aged black woman is the worst. Didn’t catch her name. I have a package there that I can’t pick up on a Saturday because it’s against the rules and I have to wait til Monday. Post Office rules - fine ok.I’m walking out at 12:01 while she’s locking the doors and an elderly lady who can barely walk with a walker wants to pick up her mail. She tells her she’s got to wait til Monday cause the post office closes at noon and closes the door on her. Took the poor woman 10 Minutes to get back to her car. Pathetic way to treat people. Goofy AB.
